Giving This 10 stars. Not that it really deservers a 10 star rating but it's currently So low because of the 1 star spam done by Nonsensical fans of a superstar has really affected the overall ratings.

As far as the Series goes.

It's Not just a Average Byomkesh season. I enjoyed all the Seasons of Byomkesh, but none of them were cinematically remarkable as such but with Byomkesh O Pinjrapole, came a Remarkable change to the Making and feel of the series, while the last was truly cinematic, This one deals with The Dramatic side of Byomkesh and his life which has never been done before in this way. Really Outshines The other Works done on the character of Byomkesh, The Drama sequences are well Staged. The Canvas looks larger and Grander than other usual byomkesh seasons , if not all other usual Hoichoi series-es. The Suspence Is not Shown a really gritty thriller manner, but still the Thriller element stays, the investigation stays relative. The historical flashbacks are done great. The cast's performance is stellar. Anirban, Oh my love, Is magnificent. Director Conveys his political thoughts in A really Heart touching way.

But still The biggest Achievement this series made was it's inter-universe byomkesh-esque reference.

Summing up, it was "OTI UTTAM"

I do know I am no one to criticize a director like Srijit Mukherjee but I felt bad in a few things.

1. Unnecessary changes from the original story.

2. I have no idea why the director has chosen to focus on Naxalites and women's empowerment (it is not needed in this century).

3. Overacting by Sohini Ganguly.

It would have been much better if they had stuck to the original story and kept it simple.

We all have high expectations from Mr. Bhattacharya but he disappointed us by signing movies like Bibaho Obhijan, Dwitiyo Purush...

In the future, it will be my request to Mr. Mukherjee, please do not change the original script.

Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's story 'Durgo Rahasya' is a very popular story in the Byomkesh Series. Although movie has been made about the 'Durgo Rahasya' before, but this is the first time that an entire web series has been made based on this story.

Srijit Mukherjee is the Director of this series. He is by his skill of direction, the series is well made. Due to which the story is good to watch even if almost everyone knows it. The audience enjoys the series from the first episode to the last episode. But the final scene of this series should have been given a bit more emphasis. Screenplay and Dialogues are also written by Srijit Mukherjee which is good.

Tamalika Golder's Music and Subhadeep Guha's Background score are well.

Talking about performances, Anirban Bhattacharya (Byomkesh Bakshi), Sohini Sarkar (Satyabati), Rahul Banerjee (Ajit) are the main characters in the series. Anirban Bhattacharya and Sohini Sarkar acted impressively. Although they are paired together for the first time in this role, they did not disappoint the audience. But Rahul Banerjee did not fit in the 'Ajit' character.

The Supporting Actors, Debesh Roychoudhury, Biplap Chattetjee, Chandan Sen, Debraj Bhattacharya, Anusha Vishwanathan, Anujoy Chattopadhyay, Avigyan Bhattacharya, Korak Samanta, Samiul Alam, Samir Kundu potray their characters very well.

Not to mention one more thing, this is the first time, Byomkesh was seen without glasses.

Web series review:Durgo Rawhoshyo ( a pujo treat for my bong friends!!)

Based on a story by famous Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandopadhyay , Durgo Rawhoshyo is a six part web series currently streaming on Hoichoi.

This time the story is based in Madhya Pradesh where Byomkesh is called upon by his friend , inspector Pandey to look into a complicated murder case. This journey takes Byomkesh ( Anirban Bhattacharya) & his aides Ajit Babu and his heavily pregnant wife Satyavati ( Sohini sarkar) to an old fort that has been a part of the Sepoy Mutiny of 1857 and rumoured to have a hidden treasure buried there.

The current owner of the fort has suffered mysterious deaths in his family with the latest murder being that of his friend who has been staying in the fort to find the treasure. Byomkesh is pitted against a clever murderer who will stop at nothing to achieve his evil designs & has has to be at his best in order to nab the culprit, protect his wife and get to the truth!!

Anirban and Sohini as usual are brilliant as usual, having essayed these characters multiple times. Rahul Banerjee as Ajit also provides able support to the lead cast & also providing a few laughs along the way.

This is a six part series with each episode having an average runtime of around 30 mins. Can be binge-watched in a day. Great production value, eerie yet beautiful locales have been beautifully captured, stellar direction and slick editing make it a must watch for all Byomkesh fans !!

I have literally wasted my time by seeing this web series and I really respect the original story Durgo Rahashya by Sharadindu Bandopadhyay.

But here the series is not only different but its not relatable at all. I dont have high expectations from the director but i also dont have too much low expectation. But sadly my experience was really bad.

In my personal opinion some changes according to modern era is good but changes in story,climax is really not expected by me as a byomkesh fan.

Another drawback is the dialogues. It seemed too much nuisance and very dramatic which is not required at all.
