Guy Pearce is great; characters around him are

Guy Pearce is great of course but the cast of characters around him make this a very special show. Wonderful casting. The bartender and the regulars at the bar are super. The three main friends around the Jack Irish character are terrific. Well defined and well played. The one who plays harry I think it's his name, the horse racing guy is a joy to watch.
