the positive stereotype of Germans

Harun Farocki was a German filmmaker best known for short documentaries. One of his last was "Ein neues Produkt" ("A New Product" in English), focusing on some people coming up with some new plans for their business. It's the sort of stuff that only the high-powered business types will really be able to follow. I guess that if nothing else, this short reinforces the positive stereotype of Germans: that they're good at everything. While Nazism may be the negative stereotype, efficiency is the positive one.

So, this is the first Farocki work that I've ever seen. I might see more of his stuff, although I do wonder if he ever took more than a neutral approach to topics.
