Rating from 10 to 1 star. Making Ates the bad guy sucks. Done with this series.
Another edit: If the writers are going to make Ates the bad guy, I'm not watching any further. He is the one with the pure heart and what is being done to him by the spoiled brat named Yaman (so irritating the way Feraye, who needs to get her mind checked, says Yamaaaan...ugh), makes Yaman the bad guy in my books. I hope he loses the business to Ates. The writers made a good job of making Yaman the villain. It's now impossible to have pity on him & Feraye.
Edit: To the writers, please let Feraye fall in love with Ates and forget Yaman. A person that can torment someone he supposedly loves is not a man of character. What Yaman feels is not love but obsession...it can't be both. I dislike him now so much, I can't even feel sorry for him. Let Feraye forget Yaman. I really don't want them to end up together.
I just love this series.
The FL (Feraya) is trapped between two brothers. And strangely I can't choose who I want her to be with. There is this one brother (Yaman) with whom she shares a lot of passion, but he breaks her heart when he falls into a trap protecting his brother. The catalyst in throwing everyone's lives into a hell, is the FL's step-mother who threatens Yaman, after she overhears what has happened, to marry her daughter who has been in love with Yaman since childhood. (Feraya is unaware of the trap and thinks Yaman has fallen in love with her step-sister.) She also gets an innocent house worker killed. Yet she has no remorse. She is the real villain in this story.
The story is well written and directed. Excellent actors. Casting done brilliantly.
I can't wait for the next episode and kinda wish I could binge watch all the episodes at once.

This was an ode to abusive, toxic relationships. It promoted threats & harassment being ok if it came from your 1st love. In the end, it sent a horrible message to young girls & not even flashbacks couldn't cover up.
I would just like to remind you that in the series, the love that the actress praises so much is a toxic relationship in which he: -she harasses and harasses (even when she is pregnant) -he comes on to her at work and attacks her friends -he took nude photos of her without her consent.
It is an insult to all the women who die every day and fight to get out of that toxic cycle. But since the ship's actors support that and see it as love, as does the director, this was going to happen.

I have to edit my original review which I made after watching 4 episodes - the early episodes indicated a good plot where you see first passionate touching love happening with 2 young persons but they are torn apart because of unfortunate circumstances which swung out of control because of immature handling and a secret they are keeping from each other. I didn't understand why it should be a secret and if the truth were told, both won't have misunderstanding and they would not break up but well, then we wont have the series either. Because they have to break up, we see another story developing within the family with possibility of the female lead developing a deeper romance with another party. In the midst of all these, there's murder, illegal activities, business and blood rivalry to spice up matters. However, the series went downhill after the first few episodes with repetitive events and hints of not being able to move forward. It sort of got stuck in a boring limbo especially with Yaman and Fereya. I was fast losing interest and patience over the relationship of those 2 and wanted the character of Ates to develop in the story faster. When the story kept dragging itself, I lost my patience and this became one of those very few instances I had to edit my review. I still give it a rating of 5 instead of a poorer rating just because of the first few entertaining episodes. Needless to say, at this point I'm not watching the series anymore.
I am at ep 10 and I am so done with this "drama". I have never been so annoyed with any other character like the one Feraye. For this 10 episodes which are 2hours long,I didn't saw ANYTHING about Ates character, for example some backstory, why is he like this cold and always wearing black. I really like Ilhan Sen and the way of acting. The whole twist is terrible. You showed us nothing but crying from Feraye. She and Ates doesn't have even a proper conversation... everything is pointless. If Feraye and Ates don't end up together which I expect to happen this means that I waste my time. Gule Gule.
Sorry, you started this series really good, the plot was good, but than everything went downhill, so many gaps in the plot that you made us believe that the actors have no brains.
1. Feraye and Yaman loved eachother since childhood but absolutely no one saw them being lovers, except Okan 2. Yaman marries Aliena to protect his brother from police, but his brother never feels guilty, but still we have to believe that he is a good character?
3. In 8 episodes, Feraye never asked him why he married Aliena and never questioned why he still runs after her?
4. In 8 episodes, each one lasts 2 h, Ates is so stupid that he wants to marry a girl, but doesn't know the father of the child and doesn't observe Yaman love for her?
5. How can Feraye be the the good female character if she lies about Yaman being the father of the child to Ates? She is a thief and a lier... 6. In 16 h of watching, we never understood the motivation of Ates to marry Feraye. He loves her? We don't know, because nothing happened, or not even a word was spoken, but he desperately wants to marry her.
7. And the most stupid thing, after 7 episodes of hating Yaman without even asking him why he chose to marry Aliena, Feraye makes this scene at the hospital trying to convince us that she loves Yaman so much:))
All this being said, honestly, how olso should you viewers be to believe this is a life story?
Also, I'm sorry for Ozge, the actress that plays Feraye, but she is not talented in acting, she is blunt, only receives, never give, never show more than passive attitude, always expecting her turn to say her line, no charisma, no passion, no voice...after 3 series watched with her in the main role, I can say that she is not capable of acting, unfortunately for her career. I think she is to aware of herself, she doesn't have life experience that she can portray...only a desire to be in the movies...no spirit.
At least, this series has brought to light the acting skills of Burak, Yaman, hoping he will get some main roles in the future, because he can play drama.
Writers, don't ever do that again, writing the script after reading people comments and desire, you saw in the comments that people like Yaman and Feraye, and all you did for 14 h is making them cry over the same mistake, and being stupid not answering questions to each other, and keep the plot in the past, just showing us their memories together, we are not stupid... just learn from older scripts like Kara Sevda, Syaz Beyaz Ask, Hercai, Kuzgun, Calikusu, even Yeni Hayat had a bette plot, but they interrupted it, shame, remember those scripts, they were too good, you cant compete with those, change the stupid modern way of manipulating people psephologically, because in end, the good and smart plots won...
