This felt like a student film trying to be a Hallmark movie. The acting while not completely terrible, was very stilted a lot of the time. Especially the female lead. Much of the dialogue felt unnatural. The basic story is cute but some of the characterizations were awful. The boyfriend and his colleagues were beyond ridiculous. Cartoonish really.

It didn't feel like the main characters spent enough time together to develop real affection for each other.

With a title like "Meet Cute in Manhattan" I was a little hesitant to watch this movie. I figured it would be one of those over-the-top sacharin movies. Super cliche and totally predictable. Well, I must say I was surprised by this delightful little indie film. I enjoyed the writing and the storyline quite a bit. It was way better than anticipated. You know prety much the second the two leads meet, that they're eventually going to fall for each other. But there were several minor twists that made the movie interesting and kept me watching. I thought the two stars had great chemistry. About the onlly negative comment I can make is I thought the acting was a little bit stiff at times. But overall, "Meet Cute in Manhattan" was an enjoyable movie.
