First of all, let me just start up by saying I don't understand all of the one star reviews. This is a very well done indie that deserves quite a bit of praise. First off, the film looks great, well shot and composed. Both actors were entirely natural and real - something that is often missing from movies like this. The writing is strong, with an emphasis on conversation between disparate male/female dynamics. As the action progressed and took a genuine turn, l found myself talking to the TV, which I don't do often, and to me, that's good writing...I was fully engaged. Give this film a look; it showcases a lot of talent and is a cut above usual small-budget films.
Movie was recommended to me by a friend and I had no context. I thought the two actors were great and I loved how their roles changes significantly from beginning to end. She was aloof yet calculated. Enjoyed it very much.
Jack was good and was the guy you were all touting for to do the right thing. We were shocked at the turn of events at the end of the movie. This was the first time I watched a movie with only two characters. It made is very engaging and easy to stay engaged. The plot kept you engaged the entire time.
Congrats to the crew and cast for a very well done production. Love the setting in Chicago. Hope to see more of these films from the producer and cast.

If I watch B-grade movies, it's usually as a precursor to falling asleep and it generally works. This one was no exception, probably because it was (IMO) boring as.
The story focuses on two people who meet by chance; there is a twenty-year gap between the young, single woman and an older man and we observe their main interaction over twenty-four hours, with a brief encounter several months later. This kind of scenario (one on one) requires strong characters, an interesting story-line and engagement by the viewer. Unfortunately, it's a mediocre tale about stereotypes: she is finding herself, desperately wants a boyfriend/husband and latches on to the sympathetic, happily-married family man, with predictable results.
While the male lead appears sympathetic and believable in his role, the woman is irritating in her know-all manner and smart-a responses. However, it is no surprise that he gives in to the once-off opportunity, despite the remorse afterwards (the old cliché of "she made me feel alive" comes to mind). These are not exciting characters and their short-lived relationship is dragged out over the duration of the movie, with nothing to relieve the tedium.
Because the characters are dull, we don't really care about the predictable ending (although it's meant to be a twist on the familiar theme) and where they go from there. We're just glad it's over.

I've had conversations with my cat more interesting than this terrible movie. I was compelled to review it after seeing the obvious fake reviews giving this disaster of a film 10/10. The female lead also has no charisma and there is zero chemistry between the characters.
But yeah if you are bored and looking for something to watch. Keep looking bc this movie will bore you into a slumber. Ah my review is too short, but the thing is, nothing interesting happens in the movie so it's almost impossible to write a proper feedback on the film. It's just two people having the most cringe conversations over and over.

"Wrong Numbers" is a compelling and deeply human film, masterfully directed by Duane Edwards. He brings a confident and patient touch to the storytelling, allowing the film's slow-burn nature to unfold naturally. The pacing might challenge some viewers, but those willing to invest in the journey will be rewarded with a rich, emotional experience that lingers long after the credits roll. The writing is sharp, the cinematography subtly immersive, and the characters feel incredibly real.
David Kelsey gives a nuanced performance as Jack, portraying a character who is both relatable and complex. His presence anchors the film, allowing the audience to connect with his struggles in a way that feels genuine. But it's Emily Hall who steals the show. Her portrayal of Emma is unpredictable, layered, and deeply compelling. She shifts seamlessly between vulnerability and strength, making her character feel authentic and magnetic. Every scene with her crackles with an energy that keeps you on edge, unsure of what she'll do next.
The film's slow-burning nature works in its favor, giving space for the emotional weight of the story to truly settle in. It's not a film that rushes to its conclusions but instead carefully builds towards a payoff that feels both earned and deeply affecting. "Wrong Numbers" is an example of storytelling at its finest-subtle yet powerful, grounded yet deeply moving. A must-watch for those who appreciate thought-provoking cinema. 9/10.
