Heavy Metal Haley and Ms. Stone here have collaborated to bring a unique spin to the F13 lore.... With that said, I don't believe this entry hit the mark to deliver an immersive tale. I gotta say that the '84 Jason Voorhees here was impressive in stature, and the build-up to his showdown with the android version was the highlight of this short film. Haley is very passionate about this franchise, and included many tongue in cheek references to other franchises, and chapters in the F13 timeline. I hope she's given a higher budget, and top of the line sound equipment for the next round of chaos!!!

The concept? BRILLIANT. The execution? Horrid.
This could be a GREAT concept if run through by a professional studio. Think of that scene in Jason X where they send him to a fake holographic Camp Crystal Lake to distract him, and mix it in with equal parts The Running Man and Robocop satire. Blade Runner was advertised as an influence, but aside from Haley wearing a Pris cosplay, I wasn't really seeing it.
Not sure of the legality of all that, since "fan films" already exist in a legal gray area.
I just really feel that it NEEDS to be riffed by semi-professionals. I feel like it might just save it like MST3K saved Demon Squad.

I see the cast and crew, or film maker, praised themselves in the other reviews. This low budget F13th fan film is just another made for YouTube short film.
The graphics are almost as bad as the acting. There's a lot of lifting clips from parody commercials from RoboCop films and things, however even if the film is trying to claim its self aware, it's not funny on a parody level, nor is it a working comedy. It's effects are laughable, but not in a way that you're laughing with the movie.
Too many quick jumps to the next scene, with VFX being defecated at the screen, most likely in attempt to try to distract you from this being pretty poorly edited, with rushed scenes inserted amongst filler they shot and figured they may as well use it now they've done it, instead of it hitting the cutting room floor where it truly belongs.
Overall it seems like someone who creates Jason masks wanted an excuse to try and put everything into a film. Some look OK, most are lame, but it'll take a lot more than putting neon lights under the mask to wow anyone.
The plot is pretty stupid too. It's set in the future and the #1 reality TV show is killer Jason robots killing contestents. Someone's had enough, so they use the Necronomicon to travel back to 1984 and bring the real Jason to the future to fight the robots... all 3 of them... sigh... lame.
With a better VFX team and someone with a better vision than overlapping footage with cheap video editor effects, oh, and most importantly, a cast that can actually act, there might be a half decent story to tell from this, but for what it is right now, it's as lame as that time when Robocop fought 3 identical samurai robots.

I'm pretty open minded when it comes to fan films. The CONCEPT for this film sounded great, on paper.
Had it been given a bigger budget and a better production crew, this probably would have been a solid watch.
Unfortunately, you are stuck with no one being able to act. Costumes looked cheap, about as good as the spirit halloween store sells. The use of neon lights was....ok. Music wasn't too bad, but it doesn't quite seem to fit in the background of this mess.
40 minutes is hardly a "full movie". I would be interested to see this picked up by a better production company and done properly. I could not get passed just how terrible the acting and writing was. Along with the completely off screen kills.

This was so good I had to watch it a second time straight after the first. Heavy Metal Haley makes her phenomenal debut as a filmmaker co-directing with Jenn Stone to make an excellent Jason Vorhees fan film NEON FEAR co produced by Abel Berry (Dr Gift, Chick Chick Boom)
First GREAT JOB TO EVERYONE INVOLVED from the creators to the cast and crew you all did a great job.
It was a very fast grind house style film. ALOT of awesome visuals the soundtrack was right up my alley cool deaths I'll get into the film itself after a few more watches Was it worth my time and work?...........YES!! 150% HELL YES!!!!

This movie was so good I had to watch again shortly after watching the first time. Heavy Metal Haley and Jenn Stone are two amazing women who directed this project and was produced by yours truly Abel Berry !!! You all should give this a watch I love the grind house fast pace approach very beautiful work. I am very excited to see what these amazing ladies do next. Abel berry have a great eye for talent !!!! This felt more true to the Friday the 13th franchise then half the sequels was 😂😂😂 One of my favorite aspects of this movie is this movie felt like a true Robert Rodriguez Groundhouse if Robert Rodriguez was ever to touch on the Friday the 13th franchise !!!
