With the recent rise of Bengali web series in OTT ,Myself Allen Swapan was one of the top entry to the Crime-Thriller Genre . Even the plot of the series was overall okay but the things went from climax to end wasnt good enough . Except Allen, Nobody had a strong character. Acting wise Shaila had nothing in herself . The series wanted to go quickly to the conclusion but lack to depict the proper story . There were many irrelevent scenes which had nothing to do with the story .The Ending was totally messed up. I think in the next season It might rectify its mistakes,which will be very difficult.

Myself Allen Swapan, find this series to be partly engaging with mediocre writing and zero character development. The cinematography and Nasir Uddin Khan's work are the saving grace. The character of Shyla is half-baked. Mithila gave an earnest performance but couldn't succeed due to poor writing. The first two episodes were engaging, but after that, it became repetitive. Linear storytelling failed to engage the audience after that. The climax is dull and rushed. Unnecessary scenes should have been cut. However, the music is quite good. You can watch this if you have nothing else to do . This is strictly for Nasir uddin Khan fans.

This series truly shines with its impeccable casting choices, from the protagonist to the supporting cast, each actor embodies their character flawlessly. Unlike other shows, it strikes the perfect balance between drama and suspense, keeping the audience hooked without resorting to cheap thrills. However, there are moments where the story seems to drag, and the lack of depth can make it feel a bit superficial at times. Nonetheless, it is definitely worth watching for its superb performances and engrossing storyline.

Only rating it 8 star which is 3 more than what I wanted to give just because of Mithila.

The way she is portrayed is just perfect. Hotness and cruelty of a satisfied wife. That's what come to my mind. It's sad to see her ethical boundary but maybe there has to be women like Shaila around us.

Unfortunately it's sad to see director using Mithila's immense revile in Bangladesh's patriarchal society in making his series hit.

The whole series lacked great dialogues and character development except of Shopon's character. They could've wrap the series in 1 and a half hour rather using unnecessary very bad acting and dialogues given to the police or other co actors except Tanzil .

Good one was using Chittagong's local language.

Just could've worked much more on script.
