Shahid's last big screen outing was "Jersey," which was released in the year 2022, almost two years back. Since then, there has been this painful drought for me as a Shahid fan, who wished dearly to see him grace the theatre screen yet again, and only this weekend handed me the opportunity, and I couldn't help myself but give in.
So was it worth the wait? Did my wishes get fulfilled? Let's find out.
Starting with...
Positives:
Relatively New Concept: While Hollywood, or many other foreign industries for that matter, had already ventured and reached certain heights in this "artificial intelligence" space, the Indian film industry, let alone Bollywood, maintained its distance from the subject due to a lack of funding and a lack of vision, among a dozen other reasons. Thus, I am delighted to see them finally taking that leap of faith and divulging into a territory unexplored and comparatively unfamiliar to the Indian audience. A love story between a human and an AI-driven robot is definitely a promising starting point.
Fresh Pairing: Bollywood has had this tendency of repeating the lead hero-heroine pair for ages; it's something of a tradition here, so it's nice to see a fresh pairing for a change. Shahid and Kriti look fantastic together, and their organic chemistry is what propelled the otherwise bland script (more on this later) forward.
Kriti Sanon: A special mention must go to Kriti, for she has done an impressive job on her part. Playing a humanoid robot, who shares traits of humans in flesh and blood, is easier said than done. I was impressed by her dialogue throwing, their 'timing' to be exact, especially towards the end, where she had given her best.
Now with the...
Negatives:
Lack of Emotions: Two crucial elements of an "ideal" love story are a natural chemistry between the actors and proper depth in their characters. While the first requirement is pretty much taken care of, all thanks to Shahid and Kriti's palpable chemistry, the latter aspect suffers quite drastically, mainly due to a rather lazy write-up that prioritised only the portions of comedy but not the emotional titbits.
Half-Baked Family Dynamics: When you are giving so much time and screen space to the family members of our protagonist, why on earth would you not provide the characters the required depth? I'm infuriated because there were a lot of opportunities the story could have easily grabbed and further solidified its foundation, but it didn't, or, should I say, it couldn't!
Now, ending with...
Mixed:
Middling Humour: There were three or four instances in total where I genuinely laughed, but the rest of the jokes failed to land. For a film that promises to be a laughter-filled, fun ride through and through, it sure is disappointing. Suffice it to say, I expected more. Much, much more.
Irrelevant Music Numbers: Now, do not get me wrong, I have been grooving to the tracks since they got released, especially "Akhiyaan Gulaab" by MItraz, but they do not aid the script in any way. They are merely used as commercial cinema tools, show-pieces that serve no greater purpose.
So to summarise my overall thoughts, it's a decent attempt, keeping in mind the freshness of the concept, but everything felt so half-hearted, almost like they put a leash on their creative thinking, deliberately restricting themselves from exploring deeper depths.

Watched Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya today in a late night preview show and was bit happy and a bit disappointed at the same time with the movie. I am happy because it is a nice movie which dares to blend genres, manages to keep the SciFi "Real"and even manages to find a pretty effective end to literally an impossible love story but I felt disappointed that it may be a bit difficult to savor for the masses and it doesn't excite as much as its potential.
It is a feel good movie with nice performances that should do well but if it doesn't then it will be looked back on kindly and with positivity as time passes. The basic premise of the movie is clear from the trailer - Man falls for a cutting edge very Human like Robot and wants to get married. So it is pretty difficult to imagine a satisfying and still "realistic" ending for the movie. I commend the writers on finding a pretty good ending which feels like it can be a real possibility and doesn't become a standard "Kuch Bhi" happy Bollywood ending. It is also good that the story not only shows the potential of AI but also comments on the nascency of our understanding of AI and its potential impact. This ending is going to be very hard for the masses to digest. I hope it isn't too good for its own good.
Kriti looks stunning and is pretty well cast as the Android and Shahid looks blindly in love with her. The support cast is good. Dharmendra is good and a pleasure to watch but somewhat wasted in the role. The music and songs are catchy. The jokes are funny. The movie has all the right pieces to become a hit but its theme, genre and well executed but difficult to satisfy ending may be the biggest challenge to it has to overcome For me the biggest negative of the movie is that we have already seen way too much of the movie in the trailer and songs. There are additional funny bits and the ending is completely fresh and new but the trailer feels like almost a 2 minute version of the movie without the ending sequence. The movie is entertaining and the right step towards making new types of movies. I liked the movie. I appreciate this daring effort at a new kind of Romcom. I even applaud the difficult to satisfy ending....but I didnt love the movie. 7/10.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya attempts to blend romance, science fiction, and family drama into one package, but unfortunately, it falls short of delivering an engaging narrative. The screenplay lacks consistency and fails to maintain the momentum established in the first half. The dialogues are well-worded, but not all jokes land effectively, leaving the audience occasionally chuckling but often checking their watches.
The film's first half shines with the blossoming romance between Aryan and SIFRA, portrayed with charm by Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. Their chemistry is palpable, and viewers are drawn into their love story. The film takes a nosedive in the second half as it veers into predictable family drama. While there are moments of humor sprinkled throughout, much of the second half feels tedious. The climax feels abrupt and lacks the emotional payoff that viewers might expect. The promise of a sequel falls flat as the film struggles to rectify its shortcomings.
Kriti Sanon impresses with her portrayal of SIFRA, capturing the nuances of a robot with admirable skill. From the tender moments of romance to the emotional beats of the family drama, Shahid Kapoor delivers a commendable performance throughout the film. Dharmendra, though with limited screen time, adds a touch of charm, while Dimple Kapadia leaves a mark as expected. Ashish Verma and other supporting actors provide able support to the lead actors.
The music, particularly Laal Peeli Akhiyaan and the Title Track injects energy into the film with their foot-tapping beats and well-choreographed sequences. Akhiyaan Gulaab and Tum Se add a lovely touch to the soundtrack, enhancing the film's romantic elements.
Direction 2.5/5 Acting 3/5 Music 3/5 Story 2/5 Screenplay 2/5.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulza Jiya is one such movie, which literally depicts an impossible love story in a beautiful effective manner. Truly speaking, the film was a pleasant surprise. One thing I dislike about the movie is that the screenplay in the movie lacks continuity and fails to maintain the momentum established in the first half, the dialogues are well written but not all the jokes land effectively. Still I thoroughly enjoy this movie.
Kriti Sanon impresses with her portrayal of SIFRA, Kriti and Shahid look fresh and cute. The best performance of the work after mm. She is the hero of the film. Shahid Kapoor shines as always. The movie is worth watching once.

Well the trailer was really good and was excited to see the movie!
First Half starts decent with story building up they tried their best to not keep it boring but shahid looked faked while dimple was ok with her acting! The comedy starts just before interval which is nicely written and genuine laughter punches are made! Kriti looks fabulous and her acting is the best out off all the actors in the movie! Second half again dives down with very slow screenplay, Sanon character is way less utilized it would be laughter riot if there would be more scene of robots having human experiences which they missed out! The laughter again starts in climax and it's the best part of movie in terms of screenplay and dialogues! The movie was convincing and is a great one time watch.

Aryan (Shahid Kapoor) is an robotics engineer working for his aunt Urmila (Dimple Kapadia) whose new Innovation is Sifra (Kriti Sanon), a robot. Aryan doesn't want to get married while his entire family wants him to, as expected he falls in love with Sifra. An harmless experiment conducted by Urmila gives Aryan an excuse to continue his own experiment where he introduces Sifra to his family as his lover. What all misfortunes happen when Sifra tries to mingle with the great Indian family, while they prepare for Aryan and Sifra's wedding forms rest of the story.
For a film that tries to look ambitious, it only aims to be a low hanging fruit. Leaving the brain aside, for those 140mins I kept looking for one decently entertaining scene which the film was devoid of. It is not the logic but the emotions that feel forced and largely superficial, leaving the lead actor with an unlikable character, no matter how much he tries to be entertaining. Ofcourse there is a slight glimpse of "fun" in the climax scene and that's about it. The screenplay lacks the fizz to make this rom-com fun and the generic characters get unfunny jokes to mouth as well. Fair warning, the film ends with the note "to be continued" and I wish they had shown the same conviction while scripting this film, so that we could've got a better and watchable film.

You can enjoy this with your loved ones. Kriti and Shahid are looking fresh and cute. One of the best performance of kriti after Mimi. She is the HERO of the film. Sweet rom- com are always been loved by audiences. I hope this one also get the love from the audiences. Hope kriti will do more such roles in the future. She is the powerhouse of talent. Shahid portrayal of Aaryan is honest and real. I really love his performance. He looks so good onscreen. Supporting cast is also amazing. Music is the biggest Plus of the film. Songs are soothing. I hope to see such more rom coms in near future. Loved it.

I was sceptical about watching the movie however decided to watch it and i really enjoyed the movie.its a light comedy movie with a new concept and not hardcore comedy movie like no entry etc or priyadarshan movies. You can take it as bollywood version on Ex Machina.
I really liked the work of Kriti this time as she acted well like a robot and gave robot like expression and shahid is always rocks in lover boy role. Dharmendra jinwas also too good.
The movie could be more better however I am satisfied with the work.
It's worth watching with family but you need to put your brain aside and go with the flow of movie...

So straight up will say this movie is bad, not the worst movie ever, but definitely wasn't very good.
Story: The plot is quite novel, and I was interested to see how they would handle this topic of robotics and AI given that is a current hot topic. As in all science fiction movies there is an element of suspending disbelief, but this movie took it too far with outrageous and unrealistic twists and turns. I never understood the main characters motivations for wanting to take a romantic relationship with a robot this far.
Acting: Kriti Sanon played her role well in what was a difficult character portrayal. She was the best part of the movie. Shahid Kapoor for an established well-known actor in his 40's gave a very shallow performance relying on overacting. Although he was aided by a pretty terrible script.
Songs: Most of them were remakes, but overall, pretty fun and enjoyable numbers.
Conclusion: If you do want to see this wait for it to come out on streaming. 3/10.

Is there actually a possibility that man falls in love with a robot ? I will say depends ! If robot is as beautiful as kriti sanon (SIFRA) then definitely . Well that sums up the whole story.
The whatsapp kinda jokes , the story flow following convenience rather than character layers , few good punches and sketch comedies here and there and lot of stereotypes is what you will find in Teri Bato mein uljha jiya. The under utilized sahid and dimple as programmers bother ed me the most . Kriti is THEEK HAI as an amazing robot . The story will create few giggles ... more than that please don't bother expecting.

The movie is brainless and stupid, the protagonist is basically acting like a kid obsessed with a toy to an extent that will make you wonder what the hell is wrong with the guy's thinking and question why you are watching the movie in the first place.. a complete garbage that doesn't make any sense, half of the characters of the movie is just fooled by the protagonist and robotics engineers are shown as complete brainless and emotionless idiots.. in my personal opinion save your valuable time and money before deciding to watch this piece of trash. Movie will bore you from the beginning till the end! You can happily skip this one!!

I have recently watched this movie and this is a very refreshing and entertaining movie but this is one time watch.
The movie has a brilliantly written story, and a kmaal ki performance by all the stars, but Kriti Sanon got all the limelight. Happy to see Shahid as a romantic hero. The songs are good. I like the execution of 3d characters is good, and VFX is decent according to budget and need.
The movie could be more comic as the topic is very amazing. I appreciate all the team giving a Sci-Fi romantic love story a good treat. Overall you can watch with your wife or girlfriend. There are some Kissing scenes in the movie that I feel unnecessary.

Firstly this shouldn't be the title of the film because is very good as compare to story & direction. The title is very cringe but the film is not.
A Superb Entertainer for me I would say specially the 2nd half is brilliant and the climax will add more twist into it.
Director Amit & Aradhana perfectly executed the script when it is not easy to direct a subject in which films are already made of. But still they pull of very smoothly and made a good entertainer.
First half is little bit slow takes time with the character and storyline but the music will keep you engaged till the interval. Then the fun begins with the 2nd half where lots of characters are introduced with amazing screenplay in it.
2nd half literally has everything from proper story build-up to emotions and songs is a bonus for the film.
Acting wise SHAHID & KRITI rock superb performance by both they keep you engaged from start till end, even Dimple Kapadia supporting role was fabulous with rest of the cast.
Cinematography is excellent with brilliant shots and music is one of the soul of this film.
Plot wise director could've gone into more depth because there isn't much in the storyline but still film manages to entertain you with the situational moments and with the acting performances.
Overall don't think enough if you wanna enjoy a perfect family comedy entertainer this is it. You won't be disappoint....

Watched Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and it's a funny movie about a love story that's a bit different because it's between a person and a robot. The movie is full of laughs and moments that make you feel good.
Shahid Kapoor and Kirti Sanon, the main actors, are really good together and make the story even more interesting. The robot is very funny and makes the love story special.
The movie makes you think about love and life in a world where we have robots. It's full of fun and will make you smile and think at the same time.
If you like to laugh and enjoy stories about love and robots, you'll probably like "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya." It's a movie that's both fun and thoughtful.

Passey Reviews
'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' attempts to blend science fiction with romantic comedy, starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. However, the film falls short of expectations, leaving much more to be desired.
The major drawback lies in the narrative predictability. A large portion of the storyline, the first half and bits from the second, is seen in the trailer itself. The central theme of a human falling in love with a robot, feels underexplored and lacks the depth needed to engage the audience.
While Dimple Kapadia and Kriti Sanon shine with their performances, stealing the spotlight with charm, grace, and beauty, the same can't be said for the film as a whole.
Dimple Kapadia, in particular, is a treat to watch due to her charismatic personality. Kriti Sanon takes on the challenging role of a humanoid character, and her portrayal is praiseworthy. The seamless blend of robotic and human elements in her performance is impressive, and she adds a stunning presence to every scene. However, these bright spots are not enough to salvage the film.
Director Amit Joshi's attempt at situational comedy is decent, but falls short, failing to entertain all age groups. Shahid Kapoor, despite his capability to shoulder brilliant rom-coms, is underutilized, leaving fans wanting more from his character.
The screenplay, music, background score, while not outstanding, serve their purpose sufficiently. However, they lack the unique and catchy elements.
The film lands in the realm of average cinema. The predictable plot, underutilization of talent, and the film's overall suitability for the OTT platform make it a miss in theaters. Consider saving this one for a cozy night, on your favourite streaming device.

This film had a feel of a tv series instead of a movie. Besides that, I feel the movie could have done better if Ayushmann Khurrana was in the lead instead, as he has more range of emotions and expressions which was required for the role. Shahid's acting was kind of forced, immature and he did not come across as a software engineer. The plot though unique was limited by its writing. There could have been more comedic twists and turns to make the movie more entertaining. Kirti Sanon was good as a robot and stole the limelight away from Shahid Kapoor who inadvertently took a back seat in the movie. The most painful aspect of the movie was watching my favorite He-man Dharamendra being reduced to a frail old man, all for a nondescript role which any Tom, Dick or Harry could have done. I hope he doesn't torture our memories with such roles in the future. Dimple Kapadia was adequate as the CEO of a Robotics company. On the technical side however you would have to question the viability of a robot 18 years in the making, which still has rudimentary issues such as inadequate battery life and inability to withstand simple power outages. All in all I would say inspite of it's inherent flaws the movie is Ok for a one time watch.

Even though I wasn't too impressed with the trailer, the movie itself turned out to be really enjoyable. It's a good watch film. This movie has a simple and heartwarming story about a robotic girl who looks just like a human. It explores themes of identity, acceptance, and what it truly means to be human. The film strikes a great balance between humor and emotion, making it a delightful watch. You'll definitely find yourself rooting for the robotic girl as she navigates through life's ups and downs. Hope it's a success at Box office too.

They have made a mockery of the audience. Cringe acting and over the top sci fi. Just a sheer waste of veteran actors talent. The guys a Boston Dynamics will pull out their hair after watching this movie. The script is naive and predictable. Comedy is extremely childish. Robotic engineer unable to figure out the difference b/w a human and robots. Don't waste your money on this movie. It's not even worth watching this on OTT. Can't believe Kriti agreed to do this crap of a movie after her superb performance in Mimi. Shahid Kapoor can't do comedy for the love of life. Songs and dance sequences are the only limelight of this otherwise pathetic movie.

Aryan is a genius when it comes to computer programming and robotics. Visiting his boss and aunt, he falls for her personal assistant, Sifra, the perfect woman for him. Little did Aryan know she was a robot, and their complicated and unlikely love story began.
This romantic comedy is simple, easy to watch, and checks all the Bollywood boxes. The story quickly gets to the point and is entertaining. The subject is far-fetched but interesting since artificial intelligence has become accessible to the general public. The set of songs in the movie is fun and peppered in nicely throughout. Any Bollywood fan will enjoy this movie; stream it on Amazon Prime once available.

Hanuman movie review 500 words
volume_up HanuMan: A Modern Take on a Timeless Deity "HanuMan," directed by Prasanth Varma, isn't your typical mythological epic. It's a visually stunning and innovative take on the legend of Hanuman, the revered monkey god from the Ramayana. Released in January 2024, the film has garnered praise for its blend of superhero elements with the core essence of Hanuman's devotion and unwavering faith.
A Fresh Narrative:
The movie steers away from a straight-up retelling of the Ramayana. Instead, it presents a unique origin story for Hanuman. We meet Maruti (Teja Sajja), an ordinary man leading a simple life. Unexpected circumstances awaken extraordinary powers within him, mirroring Hanuman's mythological origins. This relatable protagonist allows viewers, especially younger audiences, to connect with the character on a personal level. As Maruti discovers his true potential, the film seamlessly weaves in elements of the Ramayana, such as his encounter with Sugriva and his unwavering devotion to Lord Rama.
Visual Spectacle:
"HanuMan" boasts impressive visuals. The animation, while not reaching the level of Hollywood blockbusters, is commendable, especially considering budget constraints. The filmmakers cleverly use a blend of natural landscapes and CGI to create a believable fantastical world. Lanka, the island kingdom of the demon king Ravana, comes alive with its dark grandeur, while the lush forests of Kishkindha exude a sense of adventure. The action sequences, particularly Hanuman's aerial feats, are a highlight, leaving viewers awestruck by his superhuman strength and agility.
Balancing Devotion with Entertainment:
The film strikes a delicate balance between honoring the core values of the Hanuman legend and offering an entertaining cinematic experience. The narrative is peppered with moments of humor that don't overshadow the film's reverence for the deity. The soundtrack, with its powerful devotional hymns and uplifting contemporary beats, further enhances the film's emotional impact.
Room for Improvement:
While "HanuMan" is a remarkable feat, there's always room for improvement. The plot, at times, feels rushed, especially during crucial moments in the Ramayana. The supporting characters, despite delivering strong performances, could have been fleshed out further to provide more depth.
A Must-Watch for Mythology Fans:
"HanuMan" is a refreshing take on a well-known mythological tale. It's a perfect blend of action, devotion, and humor, making it enjoyable for audiences of all ages. The film not only entertains but also rekindles the awe and respect we hold for Hanuman, the embodiment of unwavering devotion and selfless service. Whether you're a die-hard mythology buff or simply seeking a visually captivating superhero film with a strong emotional core, "HanuMan" is a must-watch.

Show drafts volume_up Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya: A Rom-Com Caught Between Quirky and Cliché "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" (TBMAUJ), released in 2024, attempts a quirky premise - a man falling for a robot. Shahid Kapoor plays Aryan, a commitment-phobic photographer who gets his hands on Sifra, an AI companion (Kriti Sanon) built by his scientist aunt. This review delves into the film's strengths and weaknesses, exploring whether it delivers a heartwarming rom-com or falls flat.
A Promising Premise:
The concept of a human-robot relationship is inherently intriguing. TBMAUJ initially explores the novelty of Sifra's literal interpretations of emotions and her attempts to fulfill Aryan's desires perfectly. This leads to some humorous situations as Sifra navigates social cues and societal expectations. The film also hints at a potential exploration of what it truly means to love and be loved, with Sifra's unwavering devotion challenging Aryan's guarded emotions.
