Knack baaaby! Well guys I gotto be honest...I don't like Knack...Knack 2 on the other hand....
Knack was the game of the year. The action was in the game. The characters have dislodge It had a story. Knack was playable. Definitely a game. But the game. Yes. Knack was a game. It had puzzles. And cutscenes were animated. The voice acting was acting. The music was in the game and played by instruments. A game that will be in history. Knack is a mascot for Playstation. It is a game on the ps4. It will go down with gollum as a game that existed. Knack fought goblins and orcs. The orc meanies were there. And you even fight them. Knack has overly positive religious overtones. It is truly a game.
I ended up cooping with my friend on his PS5 a few months back and forgot to review. Idk this playformer/beat 'em up game didn't really feel like it was designed to be coop. 2nd player didn't have any quality-of-life mechanics like first player did (2nd players basically doesn't exist). The story of knack, a creature made up of ancient relics, trying to save humanity from a species called goblins didn't strike any fancy with me. The gameplay reminded me of Crash Bandicoot a little bit, had some fun platforming and attacking. It was all around forgettable at the end of the day, but me and my friend had fun so that's all that matters. Recommended for some mild coop adventure.
This game felt like a breath of fresh air when it came out. I'd been playing mostly competitive games in the years leading up to it (and would continue to do so) but there wasn't much to choose from for the PS4 launch so I decided to say screw it and give this a shot. It reeked of the PS2 games I used to play and I felt it deserved a shot. I went in moderately hyped and was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay is smooth, the graphics were awesome and even the story surprised me.
I would go on the buy the sequel and enjoy it even more, which builds on this game greatly.

Knack II makes this game look like crap. The graphics get a 10/10 but the storytelling just does not reach the emotional heights of the much better sequel.
