Michael Haneke: Profession réalisateur

In this intimate behind the scenes documentary about cinema master Haneke, we are treated to an insight into his working methods, what appeals and inspires him.

It is remarkable how every actor interviewed for this feature expressed noting but deep respect and admiration for Michael H much as they admitted that it was only he that had a lot of fun on the set.

My favourite moment was when he said of an approach to make a Hollywood movie to which his response were "I was offended, the script was so grotesque".

Insightful, charming with lots of wit, this is a must see for all those interested in great contemporary cinema.

Unusually interestingly filmed biopic about the Austrian ACADEMY AWARD winner Michael HANEKE!

You can watch the great master acting out some scenes from his films. You can also see him teaching a kind of master class in Vienna, which (in 2013) included the actors Emily COX, Laurence RUPP (son of CINECITTA Divo Sieghardt RUPP!!!) and the director Patrick VOLLRATH (7500) from Osterode am Harz. Very enlightening!

Of course, his stars such as ACADEMY AWARD winner Juliette BINOCHE, Josef BIERBICHLER and ACADEMY AWARD nominee Isabelle HUPPERT also have their say. It gets sad when the now deceased actors Susanne LOTHAR, Emmanuelle RIVA and Jean-Louis TRINTIGNANT come into the picture. It's just a shame that Emmanuelle RIVA wasn't awarded the ACADEMY AWARD for her role in AMOUR in 2013.
