Avis à la une
It is a Netflix Series with flawless art direction. Emotional, Eva Lasting is too funny with a great setting of 70´s in Bogotá, Colombia; a spectacular cast and according to each moment of story it has a wonderful literature references about different writers, specially about latin american boom.
The soundtrack is amazing due to it leads the viewer to remember memorable times of our fathers and their school moments; Disco Music and romantic balads of Anita Ward, Roberto Carlos, Camilo Sesto, Etc. (Read this singing "you can ring my beeeeeeeell, ring my bell..."
As well, the cinematography has a sthetic fineness through a fine composition and the seria has a great actors direction.
Finally, throughout to series, it shows important elements about colombian idiosyncrasy by means of a romantic comedy. So, such as in all series, tv shows, movies, it has a little bad details for example long dialogues but I fell that are necessary in order to create a good context of the epoch.
Really, I hope a second season.

One of the best shows if not the best I've seen in my life, the script, the photography and all the elements are just so good! The director and everyone involved in this show has a clear image of Colombia and how they want to portray it. I'm so happy and I'm so proud that there's a show like this. Funny dramatic and it's just fantastic! Everyone has to see it.
It's so well put together and it really shows Colombian culture in a nutshell. Well done! And I can't wait to see more of this show or more like this! It's definitely an 11/10.
It really shows how creative the director is by the camera angles and colours. It's so much fun. If you haven't watched it yet.. what are you waiting for?

To make this Netflix series, they had to be very brave, understanding that platforms are not usually used to mega productions, but this is not one of those. In fact, this is a series that, with what it had in Colombia, managed to get ahead and demonstrated local Colombian talent.
This series does many things well, but what is worth highlighting is the great development that all the characters present and how what happens in the series affects their way of thinking and acting. In this series, it is easy to empathize with the characters because there are situations with which people can identify, mostly because this series consists of a group of kids in school, so they come to remember things that the public does or did in their school days. Also, this is no longer a surprise to anyone since it is a Netflix series, but it has a great local Colombian cast, but with a lot of quality and well-known names like Santiago Alarcon, who appears in the series and is renowned in Latin America for the series "El man es german."
In conclusion, a series that is worth watching can remind you of old times and that also serves to empathize with the public. It is always entertaining and we can see what not only Colombia was like in the 70s but what a large part of Latin America was like. Highly recommended.

THE GOOD: the cast is great, makes you love the characters or hate them, loved the scenery and clothing, the narrative based on literature is amazing, the social and political messages are well-delivered. Also, for a Colombian production, the art direction is innovative (current compared to international prod).
THE BAD: the quality of the narrative falls in the last episodes of season 1, as if the story was hurried. The last adventures were as if it was a cartoon series with a unconnected adventures each day.
THE CRITIQUES: contrary to other critiques, this series is not perfect or innovative, but it is a well-developped production in the Colombian (not Columbian) context, meaning, you can't compare it to US prod. On the other hand, Eva is not supposed to be a realistic character in the 70's, the purpose of this series is to deliver social messages, that's the creative part which doesn't affect negatively its quality.

I love coming of age stories because, if well written, it reminds us of a time of raw emotions and how we relate to those emotions throughout our lives.
This series is set in Colombia and it was amazing to see and learn about the Colombian lifestyle (very different from US high school/context that we are used to) with great atmosphere of the 70s. I'm from Brazil and I could relate to the school "ambiance", after school activities, the bus, their homes, how a group could have a high, middle and lower class together and loving each other. I guess lots of Latinos will like to see this on screen.
The show correlates how some themes that are common now could not even be spoken about in the 70s and that comparison really gets you questioning if things have changed in a positive way.
The script is superb! I remember reading great books by big authors that the series mention and by every one it would change my perspective on life, much like what Camilo experiences. That made me very nostalgic and reminded me how much I used to love to learn and be open to new concepts.
It's mostly about "teenage drama" and you gotta be ok with that. However, the themes and how they present this is extremely entertaining! The camera angles, colors, soundtrack, great dialogue and acting will hook you.
I watched season 1 and 2 very quickly. Season 2 is even better than the first, it's a tapestry of life. Can't wait for season 3!
