Eva Lasting

I really like this series, is a smart one, with a cleaver way of using resources like BOOKS (and not any kind of books, but hard ones haha) to guide you through the story.

Is also not afraid of touching hard topics like suicide, kidnaping, and other things that even nowadays are hard to talk.

Can be a little frustrating at times with how the relation of the main characters develop, but it's like well managed by the voice in off of older Camilo, the protagonist

Is an interesting look and remembrance of the period of time that many of the millennials and beyond generations doesn't know really about.

One of the best shows if not the best I've seen in my life, the script, the photography and all the elements are just so good! The director and everyone involved in this show has a clear image of Colombia and how they want to portray it. I'm so happy and I'm so proud that there's a show like this. Funny dramatic and it's just fantastic! Everyone has to see it.

It's so well put together and it really shows Colombian culture in a nutshell. Well done! And I can't wait to see more of this show or more like this! It's definitely an 11/10.

The scenery and costumes are spectacular, they totally transport you to the 70's. The series touches on issues such as feminism and sexuality in a very organic way that is very innovative for the context of the time. However, sometimes the series fails because of its simplicity and the easy way in which problems are solved. In the same way, it can feel repetitive. The way in which he uses literature and philosophy as a tool to question the order of the time mixed with the history of Colombia and the context of the time makes it very interesting. Eva's character feels really out of place in the show. Her feminism and rebellious attitude feels forced especially because the story is set in the 70's in Colombia. The series just brushes into serious topics and doesn't develop them into the storyline (what happened to Pabon, how about the storyline of each boy's family, we just get glances and then a character is moved out). The story in itself feels very unrealistic. In a classist society, like Colombia, a wealthy teen like Eva would never mingle with boys from the working class. There have been other pretty good series dealing with teen issues such as Décimo grado and Francisco el matemático that could have been used as reference to develop a more cohesive story. I'd be surprised if the series is renewed for Season two.
