Avis à la une
I went in to watch this movie without any expectations. This turned out to be a surprise, actually a very funny movie. Both the debutant actors did not disappoint at all. The script is very funny, with good punchy dialogues. The script keeps you engaged and is slick. I did not know how did two hours went by. The male lead does justice to his role and the female lead does not disappoint for her debut movie. The character artists do justice to their roles as well. Overall, a well directed movie, which does justice to the story and is fun to watch scene after scene. I had great fun and would surely recommended it!
Loveyapa turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Despite the harsh reviews, the film was far from being a disaster. It had its flaws, sure, but it also had genuinely funny moments and a charming simplicity that made it enjoyable. Watched it with absolutely no expectations, and maybe that's what worked in its favor. The humor was light-hearted and relatable, and the performances had an endearing quality. It doesn't try to be something it's not - just a breezy, one-time watch that delivers some laughs and keeps things entertaining. If you're in the mood for something silly and fun, Loveyapa might just do the trick.
Honestly saying, I am really shocked.
Loveyapa is a remake of a south indian movie that I adore, so when i got to know that bollywood was making a remake of love today, I had sort of mixed reactions.
When this movie released in theatres, I was up to see what the makers had done, but the reviews made it seem as if this movie was completely awful, which is why when my elder brother was going to the theater to watch this movie and asked me to come , I did not go. However when my brother came back he told me that this movie was amazing and that i should watch this when it comes to ott, and I did and I REGRETTED not watching this movie in the theater.
This movie is absolutely amazing, screw the people who say this movie is awful, screw the people who say the 2 leading actors are awful.
The 2 leading actors speaking of which are soo damn good! I dont understand why people dont appreciate them at the least...
THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING. DON'T MISS IT AT ANY COST. AVAILABLE ON JIO HOTSTAR.

Loveyapa is a disappointing remake that fails to capture the charm and authenticity of the original Love Today. Having seen the Tamil version, this adaptation feels like a pale shadow, weighed down by stiff performances and overly polished production design that strips away the relatability of the story.
The biggest flaw lies in the lead performances, particularly Junaid Khan, whose portrayal lacks the natural charisma and emotional range needed for the role. His stiff and awkward delivery makes it difficult to connect with the character's struggles, especially when compared to Pradeep's engaging and dynamic performance in the original. The chemistry between the leads also falls flat, making crucial emotional moments feel forced and unconvincing.
Adding to the movie's problems is the production design. The sets are overly polished and fail to reflect the story's intended middle-class backdrop. In contrast to the grounded, everyday realism of the original, this version feels artificial and disconnected from reality. This detachment undermines the narrative's core themes, which rely heavily on relatability and emotional honesty.
While Love Yappa remains structurally faithful to its source material, the execution feels hollow and insincere. The heart and soul of the original-a story about relationships, trust, and personal growth-are lost amid lifeless performances and an overly glossy presentation. Rather than improving or adapting the story in a meaningful way, the film merely replicates it without any of the charm or depth that made the original a hit.
If you're considering watching Love Yappa, you're better off seeking out the Tamil version instead. It's a far more engaging, heartfelt experience and a testament to how much strong performances and grounded storytelling matter in a film like this.

If you're reading this-I am not a critic. I am not a cinema critic. I am a business owner. And in my company, I move faster than most people. I see things that others cannot see.
So, don't just go by what people are saying. People will always have opinions-some will praise, most will criticize. And we all know one thing about human nature: we rarely appreciate anything new. We resist it. We reject it.
But I see something here. I feel this guy (the actor) has immense talent. And more than that, the story itself has worked. The story came alive on screen. Somewhere, I sense Aamir Khan's influence-perhaps his father was involved. Or maybe, Loveyappa is the Hindi remake of the unique Tamil film Love Today (2022). Whatever the case, this movie deserves appreciation. It deserves to be shared and rewatched.
Why? Because this is our story-the exact story of the digital world.
The phone exchange-a guy and a girl swap phones, revealing their hidden digital lives.
And let's be honest, in a world full of options, haven't we all got our own digital history?
The insecure guy-a character struggling with body image, always feeling less because of his weight.
The deepfake manipulation-someone using technology to deceive, exposing the dark side of our digital reality.
Three different yet interconnected layers of truth.
And yet, just because this movie doesn't have a big star, people are dismissing it. That's unfair. This is a solid story with a strong message. I personally liked it. Maybe you will, maybe you won't-but don't listen to the morons stuck in outdated thinking. The ones who are still trapped in a mass mindset, not ready to accept how human nature actually works.
This movie is a reflection of how we truly think, react, and get fooled. And that's exactly why it deserves a 9/10.
Watch it. Understand it. And maybe, just maybe, you'll see yourself in it.
