Haul Out the Holly's newest sequel will feature a very special reunion that will delight all who tuned in for Halloween Disney Channel Original Movies, or DCOMs, in the early 2000s. According to TVLine, the newest sequel, Haul Out the Halloween, will feature Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz. The pair, who actually married in real life, starred in Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge. In a video posted to social media, returning cast members to the Haul Out the Holly franchise are all gathered on a Halloween-themed doorstep. When they eventually knock on the door, funky spooky music begins to play and the door opens to reveal Brown and Kountz inside the home.

And here’s the best part: In addition to the franchise’s original cast, the Halloween movie will also star real-life married couple Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz, who met in 2001 while filming one of Disney Channel’s beloved Halloweentown movies.

Movies like A Timeless Christmas, A Biltmore Christmas, Rip In Time, or the series The Way Home are just some of the beloved time travel content the feel-good network has released in the last four years. Now, they have something special for time travel fans called Providence Falls. This is a new time travel limited series that just started production.

Hallmark has started production on a new series called Providence Falls. According to Creative BC, this is a limited three-episode series produced by Reckless Pictures. They began filming on January 14 and will complete production on March 24. Moreover, this trio of movies will have two directors. Firstly, Lucie Guest, who directed The Santa Class, and starred in Holidazed is the first director.

Two Christmas series are trending on Netflix, and they couldn't be more different. Netflix's library contains a diverse array of Christmas titles. Although their roster includes an ever-shifting array of acquired movies and TV shows that come and go as licensing contracts change, their holiday season offerings for 2024 have included theatrical titles such as A Bad Moms Christmas and Journey to Bethlehem as well as a huge list of Hallmark CHannel movies including Haul Out the Holly, Christmas with a Kiss, Christmas in Notting Hill, A Biltmore Christmas, and A Merry Scottish Christmas.

However, since the late 2010s, they have also built out a huge roster of Netflix original Christmas movies, many of which take place in an interconnected universe. This includes the Princess Switch and A Christmas Prince trilogies, A Castle for Christmas, and The Knight Before Christmas. If you watch a lot of Hallmark holiday movies, you'll notice faces that reappear over and over again. Hallmark is nothing if not reliant on safe, predictable storytelling, and this tendency extends to the people they hire to act in their made-for-tv films -- once you've proven that you can provide a stable, likable presence in a lead role, they'll keep on booking you. 

But while Hallmark male stars need to personify whatever romantic fantasy Hallmark is selling -- whether that's sensitive, or caring, or supporting, or rugged, or good at fighting fires -- their actresses have an altogether different responsibility. Since a large portion of the Hallmark viewership is made up of women, these actresses need to be aspirational and, above all else, relatable. Hallmark has made a lot of changes to the network. One of the biggest upgrades is the elevated wardrobe worn by such stars as Lacey Chabert, Hunter King, Bethany Joy Lenz, and Ginna Claire Mason.

One of the most fun gifts a soap actor can get at Christmas is another project to appear in. Many daytime stars have found joy in taking part in a Christmas film, and Days of Our Lives’ Colton Little is no exception. The streaming service has made sure to prep subscribers for the lead-up to Christmas with several original titles and Hallmark films landing on the platform. At the beginning of November, Netflix announced that 10 Hallmark holiday movies were arriving in the catalog, including flicks like A Biltmore Christmas and Hall Out the Holly. The latter stars Lacey Chabert, who has recently led a brand-new Netflix holiday production called Hot Frosty, in which she played the romantic interest of a snowman-turned-human. Chabert wasn't the only early-aughts actor to join Netflix subscribers during the most wonderful time of the year. Lindsay Lohan, Christina Milian, and Chad Michael Murray all came out with cheery films in the past month.

The new Netflix Christmas movie featuring one of the stars of the original Mean Girls has debuted with a strong Rotten Tomatoes score. At the time of writing, the streaming service has a wide variety of holiday movies available, including a robust slate of Christmas titles. In the United States, their catalog includes modern entries such as the comedy sequel A Bad Moms Christmas, the musical Journey to Bethlehem, and a slate of newly added Hallmark rom-coms including Haul Out the Holly and A Biltmore Christmas.

Their slate of originals also includes quite a entries in the interconnected Netflix holiday movie universe. Hallmark fans are excited about Lacey Chabert’s first Netflix movie, Hot Frosty. This Christmas movie will be premiering on Wednesday, November 13. However, subscribers will be able to see Lacey and other favorite Hallmark stars like Bethany Joy Lenz, and Kristoffer Polaha.

On Tuesday, What’s On Netflix revealed that Netflix will be streaming 10 Hallmark Christmas movies as part of its 2024 holiday season programming. All but one premiered in 2023. Three of these movies star Hallmark Christmas Queen Lacey Chabert.

The world’s largest stream is supplementing its original holiday rom-coms with some of the best from the genre’s leader.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for TV viewers who love a certain style of low-stake, feel-good rom-coms. The movie genre perfected by the Hallmark Channel has been a staple on cable for 15 years and is increasingly bringing devotees to streaming services. It’s already time to think about the holidays as Hallmark releases news of The Christmas Quest, starring Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha.

Meanwhile, this is the first time Lacey and Kris have been cast as love interests, while the second time they have starred in a movie together. Read on to find out more about the new Countdown to Christmas romantic adventure movie with two of our favorite stars.

Our favorite feel-good network has cast two of our favorite stars in the new holiday movie, The Christmas Quest. Starring Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha, the pair go on a treasure hunt in Iceland together.

The news comes a little early, but Hallmark Channel is celebrating...

Lacey Chabert (Young Justice, Mean Girls) and Kristoffer Polaha (Jurassic World Dominion, Ringer), who starred in Hallmark favorites A Merry Scottish Christmas and A Biltmore Christmas, respectively, have joined forces for the network’s newest holiday film set and shot on location in Iceland.

The duo wrapped production on the adventure-romance The Christmas Quest, premiering later this year as part of Hallmark’s 15th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event. The film also marks Chabert’s 15th (!!!) Hallmark Christmas movie.

Christmas and holidays aren't a big focus in Star Trek, but there are episodes and movies that can be enjoyed during the holiday season. References to Christmas are few and far between in Star Trek; Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) reflects on a Christmas party aboard the USS Enterprise in the Tos episode "Dagger of the Mind", and Lt. Commander Data (Brent Spiner) rehearses the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Devil's Due.

John Putch’s latest feel-good Christmas miracle film, A Biltmore Christmas, revolves around Lucy (Bethany Joy Lenz), a scriptwriter who lands the job of a lifetime and joins as a screenwriter for a major production company. Lucy’s first gig was to write the script for the remake of a highly successful classic called “His Merry Wife.” However, Lucy changed the ending, giving the story a modern touch. Lucy claimed that with her script, they could bring the film into the 21st century, something that the modern audience would relate to. The audience needed something modern and something real, claimed Lucy, but her boss, Michael Balaban (Tommy Cresswell), wasn’t too thrilled to see the changes.

Lucy’s boss, Michael Balaban, didn’t share Lucy’s enthusiasm and told her to visit Biltmore Castle in person, the location where the original film was shot.

The 46-year-old actor is also known for his roles in the TV shows Life Unexpected for The CW and Get Shorty for Epix. He has also been seen in movies like Wonder Woman 1984 and Jurassic World: Dominion.

It’s not just about those repeats of A Christmas Story on TNT anymore.

Multiple linear channels and streamers are getting into the holiday spirit this month and next by dropping original Christmas movies, as well as old favorites and one-off holiday specials. As usual, Hallmark has wall-to-wall flicks planned until the end of the month, but Great American Family, Lifetime and BET have their own original slates as well to help ring in the new year.

And if the classics are all that you are looking for, there are still airings of It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone, The Santa Cause, The Wizard of Oz and Miracle on 34th Street scheduled for the boomers and Gen Xers.

And yes, on the big days, several channels have do have marathon programming events.

While visiting the Asheville spot for research, Lucy is whisked back in time to the 1947 production and into a cinematic love story with Wife! star Jack Huston (Kristoffer Polaha). Here’s what to expect in the time-sweeper: Hallmark Got VIP Access to the Historic Home The 250-room Gilded Age mansion is a lush filming location. Thanks to a “very strong relationship with the Biltmore,” says executive producer Andrew Gernhard, they shot inside. There’s a Rich Cast of Characters The Lucy-Jack story is boosted by subplots about Jack’s clashing costars (Colton Little and Annabelle Borke) and a Wife! superfan (A.K. Benninghofen) who helps Lucy navigate the film during her journey.

The fall TV schedule may be lacking a bit of new content, but the holiday season will be filled with new TV movies. Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Great American Family and more were able to fully complete their slate of holiday movies before the WGA and SAG strikes, Variety confirms.

The Writers Guild of America strike began on May 2, impacting both TV and film productions, while SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14. However, some of the holiday films set for the 2023 season began production in January.

“Christmas is a year-round business at Hallmark, so we were able to mitigate early in the year understanding that the strikes were unfortunately imminent,” says Lisa Hamilton Daly, EVP of programming at Hallmark Media. “We’re grateful to meet all our goals for a full, all-new holiday slate and to bring our viewers the content they love most to celebrate the season.”
