Nickelodeon is doing more awful shows. What's wrong with them. This is a channel for kids, but what they're doing is putting so stupids shows. They think that comedy for children is silly. And this show is in the top of the list of the worst shows. The jokes are fools. I've seen few episodes, to know that this show is crap. The acting is terrible, the characters are fools and the plot is awful. We have an alien boy that joins to a normal family. This alien is so stupid and silly that he cant understand how is the human life. Also the "abilities" that he have because of being and alien are so stupid and kind of weird. So really, i could say that this is the worst show that Nickelodeon have created. Don't watch this show, is just awful
...but this is just ridiculous. Yet another Nickelodeon sitcom that has nothing to show for itself, but that it's utter crap. This show makes Out of Jimmy's Head (which was awful) look like gold. I have nothing personal against Lucas Cruikshank, but the truth is if he's starring in something, odds are it's going to be terrible like the Fred series (although his cameo in iCarly (way better than this) was a little funny). The idea that an alien tries to adapt to life on earth idea has been used over and over (Sym-Bionic Titan, Invader Zim, American Dad which are all better than this pile of garbage). I can live with the idea, but that doesn't excuse how terrible the acting is. Like I said before nothing personal against Lucas Cruikshank, but the things he stars in are just awful. Now does he have potential? Maybe. Is he using that possible potential? No. Can he do better? Definitely. So Lucas, calm down, stop being all annoying and/or squeaky voiced, and actually use your talent that you (might) have and ditch this crap you've been working on for something better.
Marvin Marvin doesn't even deserve a rating from me at all.
It is so hard to really like this show. However you felt about any other shows on Nickelodeon before, Marvin Marvin makes them appear more well done and more like the people involved in the other shows were really putting effort into what they did, and I even believe that and can give those people kudos to that. But just the way Marvin Marvin is written, and the way they direct Lucas Cruikshank makes me believe otherwise.
Let me start off with this: I love Nickelodeon. I grew up with a lot of it. Not to state I'm a 90's kid but I loved Rugrats, CatDog, Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents and Jimmy Neutron. I never saw the live action shows like Kenan & Kel and All That but for what they were when I did take a look, they were pretty good. The Amanda Show was alright too. I liked any of the movies that was made from that network. I grew up more with live action shows like Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, Victorious, True Jackson VP and a bit of Big Time Rush. How to Rock got better for me and Bucket & Skinner was enjoyable as well and Ashley Argota, I believe, had an even better role than she had as a side character on TJVP. I can enjoy most things. And for some shows that may be criticized, I can look deep into the shows and really look at the characters and see either how much better they get as "people" over time, or can see more to the characters and thankfully good things about them that make me keep watching. There maybe really subtle messages in a show I'll find that I really like. For comedies, I like actually looking at a comedy and I don't always like when they have a message that's literally in your face like a PSA. I'll understand why something is funny and I can laugh to that. But here in Marvin Marvin, it's hard to look deep into the characters and find good things about them or find any positive messages without Lucas being on the screen for a majority of the half hour.
The only way anybody can watch the show again after one episode is if they could pretend the show is not about Marvin and instead it was about, say, the family, or even Marvin's supposed-to-be sister. I saw a little bit of the pilot episode and although I do hate that at one point they build up her ambition of being journalist so she can meet Rob Pattinson because he's in Twilight, I do think they at least made her out to be like how many teenage girls are in this day and age. In fact, in the episode I did watch all the way, the family scenes were more decent when Lucas wasn't on the screen. So for me, the real problem with this show is just Lucas. I don't know why Lucas keeps taking such obnoxious roles. Like, really, what was he thinking? The other problem is how Marvin is written. Stupid doesn't always mean funny. There's a limit to how much you can get away with making something stupid funny. Would it have been insulting to make Marvin sound really intelligent and even ahead of our time that the people around him just see him as a nerd?
I'm sure Lucas is a nice guy in real life but he can do so much better than this and we deserve better shows than this. This might very well be the Garbage Pail Kids of television and I hope all the other actors can get a chance to shine in something else because chances are Marvin Marvin is not going to be that show that allows them to do so.
I'm not going to tell anyone what they should watch instead of this show like all the other people, just find something else to watch if you can't take this. And if you can manage to like this show, more power to you. But Marvin Marvin is to me the one show that shows that no other show on Nickelodeon was as bad as people thought.

Okay, so this show had a creative premise going for it. Sure, the formula has been done in shows like Mork & Mindy, ALF, and My Favorite Martian, but this was during a time when all of the Nick sitcoms were literally about some kid becoming famous or training to become famous (iCarly - Girl that's famous on the Web; Victorious - Girl that's training to become famous), so this was a breath of fresh air for Nick. But they had to ruin it with one thing: FRED as the title character. Yeah, Lucas (or Fred) figured he raped our ears enough, so he moved on to other acting jobs. But man, is he annoying in this one! His annoying voice is what killed it for me. And now, since it's canceled, Lucas is a nobody again.
Overall, this show is bad, but it's not as bad as AwesomenessTV or Henry Danger. It at least tries to make jokes, but the jokes come off as bad, like butt humor. Hey! At least they're trying. At least they're going for a kind of humor! Even if it is disgusting humor like butt jokes.

Marvin Marvin is a zetta horrible show. Lucas Cruikshank is just some stupid son of a digit, and his show is a pile of garbage. CRUNCH! I'll add it to the heap of horrible Nick shows.
I gave the pilot a shot, it's just a stupid zero to me. I really put effort into not giving up, and my calculations were correct: it was not worth it. I recommend you do not waste your precious time, this show is out of it's vector. All of the jokes were cringe worthy, in a bad way, and I mean a BAD way. This is just Lucas's way of sneaking more of his garbage onto Nick after his Fred show was added to the heap, either that or Nick's way of milking out their favorite untalented actor.
