We Must Remain the Wildhearted Outsiders

A story of two women struggling to drive a company based on virtual perception. This is not a standard 3 act movie, it is a subconscious, hypnotic, statement of the world between love, porn, hurt, jealousy and the search for absolution. This stands above typical art movies, as they 'do' follow a Hollywood pattern of story telling, but in ingenious ways. This movie is edited, shot, re shot on Beta, in such a pattern that you feel struggling in your seat. The soundtrack is reminiscence of Wendy Carlos Williams, and the editing is an ode to Brakhage. The colors are vibrant and the actors are incredibley beautiful and strange. A voyeuristic journey into the duality of real and unreal.

Whatever you think this film is going to be, it isn't. It's a lot of different things, all at once. It's beautiful and vulnerable, but it's also vaguely menacing and melancholy. It's fragile, but seems eager to shatter itself against the viewer. Its intimately beautiful imagery is juxtaposed against a soundtrack that alternates between being foreboding, and openly hostile. And it works perfectly. The whole piece has a kind of haunted quality to it. As though you could pause at any point, and catch the shadow of a ghost sliding across the frame. I would say that any still frame could be printed and hung in an art gallery, but that statement would do a disservice to the meticulous editing, that seems to be as much a character in the film as the couple it depicts. The images jerk, and stutter, and fade, and break apart. That seems completely appropriate, given the story. It was a brilliant creative decision, in my opinion. It's a difficult film to watch, but in the best possible way. And when it's over, it leaves you feeling a little haunted, yourself.

I felt this film was an ode to women whom recognize their identities can be easily displayed for human consumption and financial gain. In this film you become caught in a dreamy atmosphere that is fantasy like yet completely human. It urged me realize my own value as a video and art model myself, and how unusual that way of financial profit can leave one feeling. This film is ephemeral, personal, and erotic. It is dark, pure and loving. The characters carry a sense of longing, yet the film grasps moments of understanding and divinity between like beauties. I would recommend this film to anyone who wishes to be shown the turmoil and ecstasy of video modeling, although this film mostly portrays the ecstasy. Loved none the less.

A confessional booth monologue that chronicles Middle America's Secret Obsessions. The Lucid Lurid Erotica is juxtaposed with religious imagery. The movement of the camera is akin to an Out of Body Experience. A giant spider web of hypnotic mesmerizing girls programming themselves to produce Evangelical wet Dreams.

You are invited to watch this peepshow and voyeuristically peek between the blinds. A window into a soul that I like watching. The lens flare and fade techniques are the perfect marriage to the ethereal soundscapes. The Director, Chase Lisbon is really manipulating time and space with emotional depth in the contemplative spooky cosmic world of WMRTWO. A meticulously crafted realm of sexually charged imagery. It has a Libertine Spirit. Very carefully orchestrated and yet natural. It has a raw real feeling but also glides through moments that are seamlessly unreal. A subconscious Sex Dream that is mysterious, delightful, and ascetically beautiful.

I've never watched a movie like this, the storytelling style was different what I usually watch, it felt chaotic at the beginning but fits perfectly with the story that was being told; it makes you pay attention to the smallest detail, I didn't want to miss a frame. The movie is visually beautiful and emotionally haunting. The soundtrack paired with the visuals gave the feeling that you were immersed into the world of the movie, there were scenes where I could feel my heart pound and needed to hold my breath, I can still feel it echoing in my head. I have watched this movie 3 times and feel like every time I watch it I find a nuance that I had not seen before.
