Avis à la une
This T.V. special works amazingly with as an episode of Moral Orel NOT as a stand alone short film just as El Camino: A Breaking Bad movie is not enjoyable if you have not seen Breaking bad. The characters are better than I remember and the animation is superb and the ending really hits home knowing the the context of Orel's future Arch.
I'm putting this here to point out some of the absolutely absurd things Horst_In_Translation wrote in their lame excuse for a review. This person has obviously never heard of the show, Moral Orel, nor have they ever lived in a small religious town that is absolutely filled with characters just like the ones in Moralton.
I grew up in a small town that has the most churches per capita in my country, my Mom was/is the church secretary, and I spent 4 to 5 days a week in church. It was pure hell growing up, the entire place is nothing but one giant textbook example of hypocrisy, judgment and sin.
This short was excellent, typical Moral Orel quality, subversive social commentary. It plainly shows a lot of events that were hinted at during the course of the three seasons the series aired, and it was a lot of fun to watch these scenes play out.
It was also hilarious to see Orel before he'd even heard of god, excellent stuff. Any fan of the series will love this, it's right up there with any other episode in the series' run.
I really wish this show had had a longer run, it does such a great job pointing out the absolute insanity that is modern organised religion, perhaps the greatest evil mankind has ever unleashed on the world. Give us more Moral Orel please!

- AnecdotesA library-book copy of "The Skull" by Philip K. Dick is censored so the author's name reads as "Phillip K. Bob". There's also "Fun with BOB and Jane" and "Moby BOB" in the same stack of books. It's pretty hard to miss.
- GaffesAlthough author Philip K. Dick (Bob) had an early-'50s short story titled "The Skull", there has never been a full book with that title published under his name.
