Not quite certain what to do with this one. Simple story of young adults who appear disenfranchised party in the woods where there's history of a supernatural force. And gosh darn it! That followed them home!
Acting is 50/50 per actor, so some decent others wooden. Characters though tend toward being whiny, selfish, and argumentative. Ho Hum. There's a hint of a storyline about bullying that has a possibility, but the presentation of the film overall swallow this without much resolution.
Direction is perfunctory. Setting appears to be actual homes and woods, so at least there is something okay with production. No real special effects beyond some ghost make-up and minor gore details. There's something here I wanted to like, but the overall is just too problem laden to be enjoyable.

Heard of A24? Who cares about them; step into the limelight of a horror movie that blew my mind. An absolute *middlefinger* to traditional horror by eliminating jump scares and I'm all for it. Why be scary? When you can infer scary? That's right WHY BE SCARY WHEN YOU CAN INFER SCARY!
Out of all the balding men and women dressed as teenagers, I think Cor was my favorite. Not because he represents neoliberal toxic masculinity but because I can't explain the name Cor and why it exists.
Oh and the rape scene...why not ya know just place a random rape scene in the middle of the movie with no needed reason to exist. Tubi- you always seem to change the game.
