Behave

While not familiar with the 2024 horror movie "Behave", of course I opted to watch it, given my love of all things horror. And without ever having heard about the movie, I didn't know what I was in for, and thus harbored no expectations.

I can't claim that writers Dan Sproson and Georgia Viero put together a particularly entertaining or enjoyable script and storyline. Throughout the course of the 74 minutes that the movie ran for, I sat with a sense of 'is anything soon going to start happening?' and 'what was the point of this narrative?'.

I was actually not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, and that was something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances in "Behave" were fair.

Visually, then you're not in for anything grand. But then again, "Behave" was hardly a movie that made use of a lot of special effects or CGI.

For a horror movie, then "Behave" was a rather weak attempt at making a horror movie. And for a seasoned horror veteran, such as myself, the movie just didn't work out. There was nothing scary in the movie, nor actually anything entertaining.

The movie's cover was actually the best thing about the entire ordeal.

My rating of director Francesco Gabriele's snooze-fest of a movie lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
