Avis à la une
If you haven't watched this then give any of the episodes a go. It is just pure entertainment, there is not supposed to be a point to any of it other than to make you laugh, (which it repeatedly succeeds in doing). It is slick, has fresh tight scripts moves along at a pace and you don't really need any prior knowledge of the characters to enjoy each episode fully. Don't expect the main protagonists to develop over time. This isn't one of these get to know the characters and feel empathy with them over a course of a series things. Ultimately comedy is about making you laugh and this one manages to do that with its absurd set-ups and excellent dialogue. Co-written by Jack Whitehall, he deserves credit for creating something which is very enjoyable.
1-3 were fine, they were funny, silly and a bit of fun. Cast were ok, some better actors, some not so much. Found it disappointing they did a reunion where a good few didn't turn up, but the reunion was poor but I was shocked it was leading into a 4th season and without Jack who I guess was the draw originally. S1 8/10! 2 7.5/10! 3 7/10 and reunion 4/10
Then we get to season 4, one who's a teacher for no reason other than he was there, not qualified and wouldn't pass checks but over looking that, the actor hasn't done much since and has put on weight and truthfully looks and feels amateur and he's not even the worst. Stephen is played by a guy who is really talented but this character is really annoying, everything is a cliched drama, it's almost like a straight guy overplaying a stereotype, very odd. What made me sad was Matthew Horne is doing so badly he came back to cameo in an awful series in a demoted role.
It's unwatchable, I could only do 1 every few days as it was tedious, 0.5/10 mainly for the head as she's quite funny! The kids are all no hope and massively untalented actors to.

Ok, not exactly up there for comedic excellence but series 1 - 3 did offer entertaining filler when you were at a loss for watching something. But then bang! Disaster. How can writers and producers get things so bad, I mean bad on a cataclysmic scale? The reunion episode onward it's as if they had zero ideas and good production values died with Covid. Nothing that made the original series watchable made it through to R/S4.
I would give s1 to 3 seven out of 10. If you average out with the abomination that is R/S4 then the negative score I would give on that results in. 2/10.
Why don't producers give money to talented crew instead of this heap of embarrassment.
