The story is set in Birmingham and some of the exteriors show that city, but the city's name is never mentioned in the script, and the script seems to give the impression of just a generic English city other than London. Since the series is produced in Northern Ireland, many of the exteriors are actually in Belfast and vicinity.
According to the Radio Times, production of season six began in early 2020 but was suspended in April due to the coronovirus pandemic. Shooting was scheduled to resume sometime after September 1, but it is uncertain at this point (Sep 2020) when the series will be completed and aired
Both the writer and the production company have confirmed that there will be no series seven. There had been talk of some further filming but as of 2024 nothing has transpired, mainly due to commitments to other projects by a number of the main cast members.
