Avis à la une
"Tillu Square" graces the scene as the chic follow-up to "DJ Tillu," bearing a striking resemblance with about 80% of its DNA mirroring the original. Within its framework, it introduces two novel elements, hitting a mixed note with one being a hit and the other, unfortunately, missing the mark.
Narrative-wise, it's passable. Our lead, Tillu, retains his charm, albeit not quite capturing the magic of his debut performance. The screenplay is a mixed bag, featuring a handful of scenes that pop, a few that miss the mark, and others that simply fail to ignite, leaving the rest to fall squarely in the realm of mediocrity.
Production quality holds up well, with both cinematography and musical scores earning their stripes. Direction is on point, ensuring the film sails smoothly through its paces.
Siddu, in his element, delivers a sterling performance, living up to expectations. Anupama, while earnest in her efforts, seems to tread into the territory of overacting in her recent outings-a trend that's puzzling, to say the least.
The supporting cast turns in a decent performance, though none stand out as particularly memorable.
For aficionados of the original, "Tillu Square" might warrant a look, albeit with a grain of caution. Otherwise, feel free to give it a miss.

Tillu Strikes Back: Hilarious Sequel Delivers Non-Stop Entertainment (But Maybe Skip the First Date)
Tillu is back, and this time, it's a square footage riot! "Tillu Square" picks up where the first film, "DJ Tillu," left off. Our lovable rogue DJ, played by the ever-charming Siddhu Jonnalagadda, stumbles into a fresh set of hilarious troubles. A one-night stand leads to unexpected complications, and Tillu's signature wit is put to the test as he dodges danger and romantic entanglements.
Die-hard fans of the first film will be pleased. Siddhu continues to be the heart and soul of the movie, his comedic timing and on-screen presence a guaranteed laugh riot. The script is packed with one-liners that will have you chuckling, and the supporting cast delivers strong performances as well. Anupama adds a touch of glamour, while veterans like Prince and Murali Sharma bring their comedic chops to the table.
However, "Tillu Square" isn't without its flaws. The story treads familiar territory, with some scenes feeling like a retread of the first film. Additionally, the humor can occasionally veer into slightly crass territory, so this might not be the best choice for a first date movie.
Overall, "Tillu Square" is a fun-filled sequel that delivers on its promise of entertainment. If you enjoyed the first film and are looking for a laugh-out-loud good time, then this movie is definitely worth checking out. Just be prepared for some deja vu and maybe a few jokes that land a little wide.

Movie is a good attempt with great background music and good songs.the impact of the movie could have been change if there is no such great music.
Entertaining first' half with romantic scenes between lead actors and funny scenes and some dialogues gave a good experience to audience. But second half became bit lag in many scenes.
As the movie reminds the first part in some scenes, the story became predictable. Still it's good to watch.
It will it's a good film if we don't think logics.
Songs came in perfect timing. Songs fill the gap and refresh us from boredom which formed by such lengthy scenes .

Many people of tollywood industry might consider dj tillu a cult movie, not to mention the very film gave us many memes, cult dialogues. Although a very basic plot line, not so good narration, the film managed to gain success only through execution, dialogues and of course excellent performances.
Now imagine a dj tillu film, where production values are so high, a few extra feet tapping songs, popular actress, and more cliched story line. You get tillu square.
First half manages to catch audience pulse giving a slight hope that something huge and a bigger plotline is building up, and interval comes with a bash of underwhelming twists and out of date actions.
Second half although has a clever plotline which could have worked through a intriguing narrative, but story never asked you to take it seriously. Most of the scenes in second half seems to be fillers so as to give audiences the wow factor and movie's aim is to mesmerise the people with nostalgia of dj tillu..... which is not a bad way to entertain.
Comedy works for most of the first part, entertainment quotient is quite high. Also it is apparent amongst audiences. It is quite so commendable to narrate a story with nostalgic plot, despite trying to be unique.
But the second half comedy falls flat. Most of them are directly misogynistic at the face of women and you must have heard them while scrolling through reels or as memes. Jokes in second half are funny enough to enjoy in your mind but you may not put an effort to laugh with your mouth
Radhika character is again reintroduced in this movie giving you a slightest of hopes that movie could go on a right direction. But she is a mere doll on the face of whom our protagonist could splash some sexist jokes. She doesnt play any role in taking the plot forward. Neither does the parents and friends of protagonist. A random song in the second half is so off putting and totally breaks flow. It went extra length to convince audience to take it a serious commercial action thriller. Thus falling into the category of movies where dj tillu didnt belong.
And the ending could have been a little different from dj tillu, but it is apparent that writers and director never wanted to risk anything new other than the already tried formulaic storyline which proved successful in dj tillu.
Using nostalgia as main storyline might work for second part but not sure it would work for third. Authenticity and plot points are so perfectly put together in dj tillu but the same is missing in here.

I laughed out loud for the first part many times but tillu square didn't have that many laughs.
The story starts off the same way as the first part but it looks more like drama. The charm of first movie is no longer present. I never really cared about the story in DJ tillu but rather I was waiting for the hilarious sequences and dialogues but in tillu square none of it comes. Songs are good and appropriately written and filmed for this movie but they come abruptly and don't make sense. It seems like tillu square needed more than just the lead pair, good supporting cast was missing even though some of the old cast was there in tillu square they didn't have good scenes.
