Berserk: L'Âge d'or - Memorial Edition

In the 1997 series, they already successfully reflected these parts of the manga. Then a movie trilogy was made in 2012-2013. I think that was unnecessary anyway, but this Memorial Edition version makes no sense. Taking the movie trilogy and dividing it into episodes and releasing it again as if it were a series is like kicking a dead horse. The series in 2016-2017 could have been much more successful if there had been a real effort instead of spending time and resources on these things. If you're not interested in doing something new with Berserk, at least stop ruining what has been done well in the past.

I Thought of nothing else since seeing this anime. CRYING SO MUCH because of the themes raised.

PLEASE DON'T END THE ANIME. This is a real legacy for Kentaro Miura - may he RIP knowing that his legacy lives on and beyond him.

The funny thing is, it deals with male rape that people never ever really do. It raises some real deep philosophical question about society and friendships.

I know a lot of people talk about the killing, death and murder but to me they were sound notes to this masterpiece.

It has it all. Emotion, story, guts and gore, mystery, Just the best. Looks like a great rework of the berserk anime in 1997. Still the same, but high quality. Maybe good for people that are new to the story. Can be partially compared with Dark Souls, the game. A hack and slash with a lot of mystery and good use of music and image to frighten :). If you like that, watch it! Wait for the end, trust me.

I hope there will finally be more in the future, even though the berserk anime in 2016 was not so popular as the one in 1997, the story deserves a continuation. I am really looking forward to it and hope that the manga is not the only way to see the whole story.

In my view this is the absolute best version of the Goldern Age story ark (AKA Season 1) of Berserk. An absolute MUST SEE for any Anime enthusiast. Yes I understand that it does skip some of the lore from the manga but the core of the story arc is there and polished to its absolute best! I tried also going through the original 1997 version that many claim as more accurate but I absolutely could not digest the low res designs and the crappy cheap animation.. If you can endure with this maybe you can get some more depth in the lore from the older version but be aware that it is also incomplete at many points and leaves you with a cliffhanger... We need more Berserk at the Memorial Edition quality!
