Terribly.... Funny!!!

I gave it a 5 because after watching this I now believe that "idiots" truly exist!! And they are alive and well in 3 locations on this show. Ed and Lorraine Warren are now in spirit but if they could return, I'm sure they would be hopping mad about this tub of absolute poo that's been published using their names. I would advise anyone with a sense of humour to watch this because it's so laughable, not one of them has any form of ability and that includes the ability to act, but watch it through because it really is a comedy, though its unintentional, its like Rosanne Barr meets Ghost Busters!!

So fake, forced drama, clearly scripted...

Although the back stories seem eerie and haunting, the acting from these "mediums" aka hired actors is so clearly forved and scripted.

So obvious they deliberately force the cast into "squabbles" simply for entertainment value and ratings.

It is shows like this that take away from and set the bar lower for the real and professional paranormal investigation teams put there.

Very predictable story writing, very little to no proof in findings at all, just a "OMG I saw a shadow!" ...That is about it, any of the "EVP's" are also very unbelievable... "OMG the cupboards are suddenly opened!" ... As if the camera crew could not have opened them, ridiculous.

So stupid that it's entertaining.

This show is actually so stupid that it's actually entertaining. One of my favorite parts was when they interview a part-time "demonologist" whose full-time job is a firefighter.

There's also an interview with a "paranormal investigator" whose trying to prove that this is a serious job, not a stupid hobby. Lmao, we all know this is a stupid hobby.

This show would be much better if it was marketed as a prank show where they convince people that they're staying in a haunted house when it's actually some random house with no real history.

I really hope these people aren't taking themselves seriously.

Confirmation Bias.... The TV Show...

Heres a similar, but better idea for a TV Show..

Take 3 teams of 3.

Each team is made up of strangers that don't know each other. Each of the 3 has a skeptic, a psychic and a tech guy.

3 buildings to 'investigate' 1 of the 3 has no history of paranormal stuff, no murders, no deaths etc.

1 has a history and is famous among paranormal investigators.

1 has a history but isn't well known and hasn't ever been investigated.

Each team is told the exact same thing. They're being sent I to a place that have had sightings and a history of violence and murder. Etc.

Then send them in for 28 days.

See what they find..

As this programme stands, it's dreadful.

OMG!!! The cringiest show ever!

They immediately try to capture your attention with the names of Ed and Lorraine Warren, but as soon as the teams arrive at the locations where the drama (a.k.a. Comedy) unfolds and start to open their mouths, you soon realize this is going to be a show that will make "Long Island Medium" look as good as "Breaking Bad".

Every single member of the several teams looks and sounds as credible as a snake oil salesman, and all of them seem like they were picked up at a truck stop in Branson, Missouri.

It's so bad that the background music, instead of accentuating the non existent suspense, somehow makes everything even more comical.

I'm not giving it a one star rating only because it can be watched as a sort of "Blair Witch bloopers" kind of thing, and some might find that entertaining. Not me, though...

Damn I had high hopes, that were dashed..

I thought this premise would be good. 28 days in a haunted house. But no. Basically it's just focuses on so called 'psychic mediums' and 'sensitives'. People sat around talking about energy and 'what they feel', like 99 percent of the show is someone saying 'what they feel as a psychic'. Hardly 'paranormal research'. Makes ghost adventures look positively serious. Same old format, using 'technology' someone has decided works without any basis of facts. Someone has decided ghosts can 'manipulate radio waves' and now everyone uses it. Its ridiculous. 'the radio channels are skipping so quickly if you hear voices it HAS to be a ghost', forgetting that some radio stations are picked up easily on either side of their designated broadcast channel. Psuedo science at best, ridiculousness at worst.

Lost me when the guy said he was a firefighter and demonologist

Saying you are a demonologist and someone that actually went to college and studied historical or religious texts.... These people watched some ghostbusters and ghost hunters and said I can do that.

Man I miss Ghost Hunters :-). At least they acted like they put effort into research and made you wait at least 10 minutes before they heard a noise without nearly pissing their pants.

My hopes were average but quickly dashed. I do have to admit this is unintentionally funny. I kept waiting for Mystery Science Theater 3000 to make their comedic observations and sad when that didn't happen either.

The only thing dead in this show are some careers.

Cheesey and fake to the highest degree.

I think the quickest turn off of this show, that really shows they didnt think some things out, is the fact that repeatedly these "professional" hunters are scared by creaking and banging. The air is always heavy and cold and scary, but if it was your job that youve done hundreds of times, wouldnt you be over that? Yes i know its all entertainment but thats just what i couldnt get over. I remember shows like this 15 years ago were alot more scary and "real". Now everything is just turned up to 11 because of all the horror movies theyre trying to replicate. Bad show. If you like cheese in the worst way, this show is for you.

Ain't no way

Y'all, I'm all for spoopy encounters & ghostly matters, but this show was one of the silliest things I've ever seen. Did y'all really think we wouldn't notice CGI footage when you added shadows everywhere? ....it's 2022. And the fact that everyone was unbothered when the cabinets & door "opened by themselves", but are all for the dramatics when they "feel" the energy in the rooms. SMH. Oh & of course it only happens at night... Why would an actual haunted place have to wait for the sun to go down? Bunch of goofy ahh people fulfilling their childhood trauma of not being seen or heard so they gotta make up for it on camera.

Surprisingly engaging

I started watching this expecting to not even be able to get through the first episode, but I ended up watching the entire series. I think the strength here comes from the editor(s), as the series does a good job of building while switching between 3 locations.

Do be warned that there is a massive serving of crap taken from what must be Reality TV 101. There are times when they try way to hard to create drama from absolutely nothing, most likely from having hours of nearly worthless footage and interaction. I found myself bursting out laughing in those moments.

The haunting and ESP aspects were very interesting to watch. This show hasn't moved me from a view of skepticism, but I also find myself hoping that all of the footage, audio and timelines of discovery vs prior known facts are genuine. Cool stuff!

TERRIBLE

They lost me with the "God helmet" I laughed so hard.... I mean cmon guys....you can't expect people to actually believe this and take the show seriously...what was the deal with jereme giving his "demonic" look at the end of the scene. Lol I cringed so hard...so bad. I really really hope that no one ever things to make a show like this again. We don't want a season two. This has to be the worst paranormal show I've ever seen or witnessed in my life. Everyone involved should be embarrassed and ashamed that they were a part of this terrible terrible show. The concept was great and it had some promise at the end, but terrible acting and bad vibes ruined this whole show.

Uuuuuuuuuuurgh!!!!!

I am 16 minutes into episode 1. I would never normally rate a show or movie after not watching it fully, but this is absolutely terrible.

A cast member literally just said "If I survive the night".

Cue eye roll.

A light flickers: GHOST A faint noise: GHOST A picture on the wall: GHOST These people need to get a grip.

Just because you see a coffin in a room, doesn't mean it has to be ominous. It's literally a wooden rectangle, calm down with the dramatics.

This series would have been really entertaining if they were regular people experiencing 28 days in a so called haunted house.

The "psychics" and "sensitive" cast members just ruined it for me.

Over the top, exaggerated, forced and CRINGE.

Terrible!

This show is horribly bad. I didn't care for any of the characters or the script or the ghosts. It felt like a pawnshop scary movie. Just a bunch of junk that no one cares about. Just like their rejected Radio Shack equipment.

The terrible actors enter a room and feel a draft. "Oooo, it's an evil presence" they all say. No, you are just in an old building with no insulation. "I have a headache, which means there's a ghost here." No, that's just the asbestos and possible black mold affecting your brain. The scariest part is how much time I wasted watching this show. Nothing ever happens. Don't let the name of the Warrens fool you into watching this. They should come back and haunt the producers for using their name on this garbage.

The actors were terrible. I feel like they were all "discovered" in the same swap meet/chilly cook-off.

Awful

The cast of this show are so incredibly irritating! The fat guy reading the bible is so insanely fake and arrogant he's impossible to watch. He's so rude to the woman, snapping at her and slapping her down!

They've tried to create a reality TV vibe (with cast members falling out and gossiping) which makes it so cringe to watch and just makes it look more fake.

The whole point of the show is that the investigators unearth real information they didn't know before they entered the site...but the viewer has no evidence they don't already know everything. It just comes across as staged. The producers require a lot of trust and faith from the viewer. I'm surprised Netflix green lit this nonsense.

A 28 days of (resources and oxygen) waste

The ''experts'' acted like they were in a scientific expedition. They even mentioned their ''experiment'' is so important that in future ''paranormal researchers'' have to ''cite'' their work.

What now?! Bunch of scammers are now talking about science without any hesitation! Who gave them the right? Just because they got a contract from Netflix doesn't give them the credibility to talk about ''research'' and ''citation''.

Only scary thing in this pile of bull cr*p is the sad attempt of using scary sounds - the whole time, every single episode. If I could give 0.5 as rating- I would rate this show with 0.5. This show deserves it.

Funniest thing I've seen for ages

I'm not often compelled to write reviews, but I couldn't help myself in this case.

The hammy acting, fake arguments and voices seemingly being channeled through the equipment was both hilarious and massively unbelievable. Jereme was something else, in particular at the very end proved what a load of absolute BS this really was.

I came as a sceptic, and left as a sceptic, it's a shame Ed and Lorraine's family seemed to endorse this as any credibility they had in the paranormal community must surely be gone now!

I think my cat has more paranormal abilities than any of the people featured in this program!

Low grade horror fiction

Look, I usually like this kind of stuff. I watch ghost hunting YouTubers for breakfast and I love it because, even if I am skeptical, I am still open to ghosts being real.

Yet, nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, in this show felt remotely credible. It's kind of insulting they would try to present as « reality TV », even knowing reality TV is 100% produced. Look, I half expect Netflix to apologize or to come out announcing it was a joke. Not even the participants seem to believe in the stunts they pull out themselves.

The only way I managed to finish all episodes is out of boredom and by switching my mindset to the one I adopt watching low-grade horror fiction.

If you like believing in ghosts, do yourself a favor and don't watch that; you'll avoid yourself feeling laughed at and ridiculed. Go subscribe to Sam and Colby's YouTube Channel instead.

So stupid and cheesy!

The initial idea for the show is actually pretty good: let's get ghost investigators to locations they (allegedly) don't have any information in prior, let's have them stay for 28 days and see what they can come up with.

However, what this show does with the idea is just so cheesy and reality TV-ish that it's pretty much unwatchable.

First, most of the people in the show claim they have up to 20-something years' worth of experience in the supernatural. So, it would only be natural that they already know at least something about the locations, given they're generally called "the most haunted so-and-so"?

Second, the investigators are all so over the top that it's like watching an average reality TV show with just some cheap scares thrown in. They're a pain to watch.

Third, these people are supposed to be "experts" and yet they get startled and frightened when an old house makes your usual old house noises. Everyone knows old houses are loud, and that really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone when there's some banging and creaking. In the first episode, one guy even points out that one of the lights is flickering and he thinks this is a sure sign of a spirit. Dude, there are like 20 perfectly earthly reasons why a light bulb can flicker - more so if the house is over 100 years old.

This show is stupid, cheap, and doesn't really do anything differently from other ghost hunter series.
