Could not be more satisfied with this episode! Action packed with great character development from Holly and Max. Nell Fisher and Sadie Sink are truly giving masterclass performances in this episode! Pacing was smooth and I adored the scenes with Nancy and Jonathan. Brilliant! Special effects look fantastic as well.
Great episode with a lot of emotional moments, but at some point, someone has to die. It feels like the show keeps building toward real consequences and then refuses to follow through. With the series about to end after five seasons, it would honestly make sense for someone like Nancy or Jonathan to die, or at least one of them. They've been around long enough, their arcs are mostly complete, and a death would actually feel earned.
The Duffer Brothers seem afraid to kill off major characters. I'm not saying characters should die just for shock value, but some deaths are necessary for realism and real character development. I'm tired of the show acting like it's going to get dark and dangerous, only for nothing meaningful to happen. When the stakes are always raised but never paid off, the tension just doesn't hit the way it should.

The Duffer Brothers seem to have a neurological condition that prohibits them from killing off any characters. What was once a show with tension and stakes has been reduced to something akin to a CW production with a bloated budget. The pacing, much like "Shock Jock," is far too slow and could have easily been tightened. Dialogue remains quite cheesy, and this fact is only exemplified by the actors' subpar performances.
Yes, Mrs. Wheeler is absolutely fantastic, but the Demodogs move as slowly as slugs, making the entire situation unbelievable (even by Stranger Things standards). It's such a shame. I was so excited for the hospital scene, only for it to be a dud. Max's talk to Holly is fine, but it was about triple the length it should've been. Ultimately, the emotions are still there, but the tension isn't.
Still quite an enjoyable episode to watch. Interactions between the characters were fine, and the scenes in Camazots remained well-executed.

I was mostly excited for this episode because of it's title and the build up for this in previous episodes. And man! Creators nailed it. Not only creators but Sadie Sink also.
MaX is one of my favourite character and this episode was special for her, just like Season 4 Episode 4. This episode is so emotional and heart warming.
The conversation between Nancy and Jonathan was well written.
The following may contain minor spoilers, so beware...... People are saying that Max should have run away the moment the portal opened. But how could she have left Holly and run away? And if she had left Holly, these same people would have hated Max for taking advantage of a little girl and leaving her alone. I really liked that conversation between Holly and Max.
The last conversation between MaX and Holly is brilliantly written with strong performances and calm and heartwarming Running Up that Hill soundtrack.

The acting was good and I really enjoyed Lucas and Max's story. However, I feel like they should tone down the plot armour. Another thing is that there is such a big cast now that we haven't had the chance to explore the characters that made us love the show. Mike and Jonathan have not had any major development on their own since seasons 1 and 2. I still feel that the Holly storyline is just taking too much time, and we as an audience have not had history with Holly to really care about it. I also just think that this season should have been focused on the original characters, considering it is the final season.
