Avis à la une
No pun intended - in this world we are alone. I mean that is the way to see things right? Hopefully that bleak outlook is not entirely true for you. We normally do have people around us. And while in the end we are sort of alone, that does not mean we can't or shouldn't be able to trust at least some people.
When it comes to this movie though, you will learn quickly that believing in anyone can be ... well fatal. This is a movie of course, so hopefully this will not make you isolate yourself. It is quite entertaining to watch - and while it seems to consist of individual short stories, they are more than a bit connected ... how so? You have to watch to find out ... and no this will not become the new normal .. right?

The movie is seven stories inter-connected by both character and topics such as technology, millennial / gen-z anxiety and crime, in most cases gruesome murders. It's extremely difficult to describe the genre of this movie. Director said he wanted to make it feel not like a horror but more like a comedy drama or black comedy. This is a perfect description of how it feels watching this piece. It's a black comedy with social commentary but without preaching. Instead the focus is on fun and emotion: either through suspense or absurd humour. I would say it's a mix of V/H/S horror anothology series with a mood of "A night on Earth".
Movie is a collection of stories unrestrained by timeline. However putting story together is not a aim here. Instead you should enjoy the ride. Some characters who are focus on one story become a minor character in another story. The final chapter is the longest and a little bit more self-reflecting. We are giving up for a brief moment no-breaks roller-coaster ride in order to dive deeper into main character... only to return to the madness in the final moments. It is deeply satisfying how each story tie to another through characters and events without spoon-feeding it to the viewer.
I think the story summary does extreme disservice to the movie. If things like a tinder killer, strange adventurous of a peeping tom and some body chopping for a dessert sound up your alley, feel free to grab this one. You won't be disappointed. Never before two hours went for me so fast.

One of the greatest horror anthology movies of all time. Such a beautiful, sad and a little scary horror.movie. No gore and a huge amount of blood needed. Unfortunately it showed a true form of horror that is very scary.
The cool thing about the stories Is how they connect to each other. All done by ONE director. Korean movies and shows tend to have awesome plot twists and this movie definitely did.
It also has a great soundtrack. Perfect use of the 2001: Space Odyssey theme song.
My favorite part was the end credits. It's what all Korean movies should do. Seeing the main actors names with a caption of them is awesome.

It's watchable but nothing else, i can't even say it's good for recommendation. Zero creativity and originality (except the last segment). It's like they watched a lot of anthology horror/comedy horror movies, maybe THE BLACK MIRROR too or something like that, and they made a copy of them.
So, it's uninspired and predictable as hell. But that doesn't mean it's bad. It's entertaining, nice pace, i wasn't bored at all. I didn't hate acting and i had some fun, even though it was deeply flawed. I can say safely that it's getting kinda better as it's unfolding. I mean, after those terribly predictable first segments, the following are somewhat better. And the last segment was the best, by far. I liked that it tried to wrap it up. It didn't succeed at this but overall, it was enjoyable and the lead actress was very good.
Overall, by no means this is a MUST WATCH. But diehard fans of this genre will probably be less rigorous than me.

- I usually love anthologies, especially when they are very creative, so, I'm not surprised to like this more than the most.
- The way it blends genres and lightly addresses what it portrays on screen might offend some. I consider it quite well executed, capable of entertaining every minute. Very funny and a fun time.
- Some chapters are funnier. Some are more intense. Some carry more messages. All different, but in the end, I really enjoyed them all.
- I finished wanting to watch it all over again to connect potential missed dots.
- I want to see all these actors again in different projects. Excellent performances.
- Searching for a message in a film like this is a waste of time. It's a movie meant to entertain and is quite cynical because that's how its author sees this world. This New Normal.
