Avis à la une
I'll start by saying that I love Roman Polanski's films and that Yann Gozlan is the closest thing to him and Verhoeven. The film has great pacing, beautifully thought out shots and a clever script. The foreboding scenes are a bit arbitrary but help the atmosphere and the sense of menace you feel as you watch the excellent Kruger sink into despair. On the downside that the supporting cast doesn't delve much deeper (but they work OK) but perhaps the chatter would break the excellent pace of the film. In conclusion, I really enjoyed the film, it's an excellent old-fashioned psychological mystery thriller.
Ps: Yann Gozlan please keep making movies, you are terribly talented!

No pun intended - I know that is the literal definition of Visions (them being visual and all that). Diane Kruger looks good (as in appearance wise, you can question her eye sight) - and a character even mentions that ... for which she had quite the training! Remember her playing the beautiful Helen in Troy (the movie)? I remember it - and while no war is started here because of her beauty ... there are other things happening.
To be fair ... there is more here than meets the eye! Another pun you say? Well they come easy - not as easy as to follow and watch this. Great performance by Kruger - she really hits it out of the park as they say (or our of the plane?). There is some nudity, though I doubt anyone is watching this for the ... well "romantic" stuff. It's a bit more convoluted than it had to be .. and there are a lot of questions that remain unanswered ... but hey, if you like to be challenged ... this movie will do that.

Pretty lame mainstream mash-up of David Lynch's Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive. The script is awful. Don't watch it.
The actors are OK. Sounddesign is awful. Camera is OK. Direction is OK too. But the whole movie is simply bad. Because of the predictable storyline.
I think it's OK when you will do a movie with David Lynch in mind. But don't try to copy the master.
This whole movie screams: Yeahhh I'm David Lynch baby. But it doesn't work. Because you can't copy David Lynch.
At the end you have a movie which tries to copy David Lynch but it doesn't work it all.
The script is too bad, sorry.

- AnecdotesIt was shot from May to August 2022 in the south of France. Locations include the Sainte-Croix beach in Martigues, but also Toulon. The producers looked for the house on the beach but couldn't find what they wanted, so they found the beach they wanted and built the house there as a big prop.
