Eaglewalk

A camp. A totem. Boys looking for challenge a legend. The terrible result. After years, the return. And the haunting past. Nothing new, but well crafted. A familiar plot, good performances, the effort to escape from the temptation of cliches, using them in reasonable manner and the right location. Nothing special but enough for a reasonable short horror proposing a coherent story and a decent source of chill.

Because it is called Eaglewalk - which I reckon is an interesting title. It leaves quite a lot to imagination - and if like me you do not read too much on what you are about to watch .. well it might even be able to surprise you ... in a good way that is.

The short movie has some really good practical effects and while it is a bit too long (at least for my taste), it still is able to hold the suspense from start to finish. Acting is decent too and the cinematography is good - I mean nowadays it is mostly not an issue, but this was done over a decade ago, so technically speaking it was not as advanced as it is now (with phones being able to have a HD quality) ... so a bit long for a "short", but still good for those interested in the genre.
