This movie is so bad it becomes funny after a while ! First of all you can barely hear the dialog. I have a better microphone on my older cellphone! You get the feeling that most of the lines spoken by these 3rd rate actors is made up as they go along.

The stereotype of the local sheriff is just plain bad. Apparently his department can't even afford a camera for evidence photos. No one has a cellphone w/ a camera ? As I said to my wife they must have blown their budget on matching uniform polo shirts. Not to mention the single barrel shotgun one deputy is carrying.

Be ready for quite a few scenes of their trucks lower halves and tires rolling down the dirt roads. And many over long shots that seem to be designed just to lengthen the film. The editing sucks! You'll be asking yourself 'What the heck is going n here?'

The main female FBI agent dresses like a trashy version of CSI Miami. Talk about LMEff@0 when the monster finally fully appears and it looks like a budget version of 'The Creature From the Black Lagoon' wearing camouflage pants !

All in all it's not a bad movie if you treat it AS a bad movie trying to be serious. Enjoy !

At present time on my profile I have 7595 ratings/reviews, it's sufficed to say that I'm a big movie fan.

I'm not mainstream I watch everything from blockbusters to world cinema to indie films so obscure that half a dozen people worldwide have seen them and though I'd consider myself a harsh critic I don't judge a film by it's budget.

I also very rarely give a movie a 1/10, if I do that it's to suggest that the film had nothing at all. Not one single redeeming feature, and that's quite an accomplishment and not something I see very often.

If I made (And probably will) a bottom 100 movies ever then this would definitely be in there in fact it might well be in the bottom 10.

What I'm saying is that it really is THAT bad.

Telling the story of a mysterious creature that is killing off the locals and those hunting it each with their own agenda.

Trouble is the movie is the absolute pits, everything looks awful, the sound is laughable and the film simply is one of the worst I've ever seen.

Things I Learnt From This Movie:

If working with a limited budget just put random filters, blur effects and shadowing over the movie it'll look great.....honest

If you have ever wondered how many clichés one movie can contain, this movie may have set the record. The leading character, played by ex-Ryan Seacrest gf Jasmine Waltz, is an FBI agent who gets no respect in her male dominated workplace. Her latest assignment is to investigate the deaths of two border patrol cops down in a remote stretch of Florida swampland. The local sheriff's department has clearly never worked a major crime, since when our intrepid Fed shows up she finds that none of them thought to bring a camera to a crime scene! Two shady scientists claiming to be working on a secret project then arrive, and a monster hunt begins.

There are no surprises here and no originality, just a recycling of every creature feature story device we all grew up with. The movie's way of saving money on monster effects: show the victims screaming and then shake the camera so vigorously that nothing can be clearly seen until after the creature attack has ended. Saw that before too.

Jasmine herself is watchable as eye candy, and the movie succeeds as drive in level genre entertainment, assuming the viewers are drunk enough to be past the point of effective aesthetic judgement of its shortcomings. Other reviewers have remarked on the awful sound recording, and it is true that the dialogue is often drowned out by the wind or passing mosquitoes. This, however, given the uneven quality of the scripting, is not necessarily a bad thing.
