The film has won the FIPRESCI best prize at the Panorama of European Cinema film festival (Athens, November 2022)
Juraj Lerotic wrote the script one year after his brother's death. The film was inspired by the latter's death.
Writer-director Juraj Lerotic did not intend to act in the film. But during casting, he was mostly alone with the actors, rehearsing lines. As he viewed and discussed some of the rehearsal recordings with his colleagues, they encouraged him to try to record himself more directly.
Goran Markovic ("Damir") grew up with Lerotic's brother. He was initially hesitant to perform opposite his director, given that Lerotic had never acted before.
