Avis à la une
This game was absolutely enthralling and definitely one of the best games I have played in a while. Its hilarious and there's always something to discover or experience. I still believe that I probably haven't found half of the funny Easter eggs/secrets in this game. Despite that the game is relatively small its so massive in its own way. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was that it was a little buggy, but overall it didn't effect my enjoyment of the experience; overall the fantastic nature of the game takes you away from the few minor issues. This game deserves all the love its receiving and more, so go check it out if you're on the fence.
Ladies and gentlemen! That's 1000000 out of 10. One of the best games I've ever played! Everything is good here, the atmosphere, the humor, the graphics. A bunch of hiding places, a bunch of Easter eggs. You can even watch 3 real movies! One with the creator of the game, who comments on it. Justin and his team are the best thing I've ever seen! This is a very professional job!! Thanks! Don't listen to anyone about your violence case! You are the best! You are very popular in Russia, and you can earn more money if you do Russian voice acting and subtitles.
You have a very huge fan base in Russia, and we have a cool dubbing voice that immerses you in the atmosphere you've created. Keep releasing games and cartoons, you are a very cool dude!!

People (should) immediately know what they're walking into with the dialogue and writing of this game. That being said, High on Life was a surprisingly competent single player FPS in 2022. It's even ACTUALLY funny in a few moments (I personally don't find Justin Roiland's type humor that amusing, but there is whit in a few exchanges that happen.)
The game plays like a modest DooM clone, waves of enemies, plenty of dodging, shooting, using movement abilities. High On Life has significantly fewer guns but each gun has a character personality that fits in with the mood of the gun being used. The enemies and locations aren't anything particular to write home about, but they also don't overstay their welcome unless players decide to go for 100%.
I will admit I didn't feel the desire to 100% the game because even though world traversal is swift and easy, total post-game completion is a tedious slog. Being said, if they do decide to release DLC or another game, I'd probably be willing to pick Bounty Hunting back up for another go.

First off, if you are not a fan of Rick and Morty or Solar Opposites, stay away from this game. The humor is exactly what you'd expect from Roiland.
The premise: I'm sure most of you have looked into this already, but the game is about an Alien race finding Earth and discovering that humans give them an incredible high. You team up with a talking gun named Kenny (voiced by Roiland) to travel to a different planet and explore, fight bosses, find new weapons with different personalities, and visit new places with the help of a washed-up bounty hunter and his gadgets. So let's get into this.
Pros: Humor, Graphics, Dialogue, Exploration, and Boss Sequences.
Roland's humor is littered throughout this game and it never quits. It's very entertaining and scratches just about every humor type there is. The graphics are pretty good given it isn't some triple A title, and I didn't experience *too* many glitches, aside from some dead body shivering and finding some places that I couldn't come back from that forced me to restart checkpoints. The dialogue is entertaining and fruitful, it rewards exploration (although not initially), and the boss fights were fairly well-thought-out and offered some challenge in an otherwise easy game.
Cons: Humor, Longevity, and Mechanics/Button Layout, Music
Yes, the humor is both a pro and a con. I find the humor in this game entertaining up until the moment I don't, and then I can't do it anymore. It's important to note that you can turn off the frequency of dialogue in the settings, but it's crazy that it's even an option. It's as if THEY knew it was too much and just put a filter setting in the game instead of loosening up on all the repetitive word vomit from the get-go. They even have a character in the game whose sole purpose is to annoy you; while I can respect how much they lean into their self-awareness, I would have appreciated more substance to counter the incessant stimulation. I had to take frequent breaks from this game as I usually couldn't play it for more than 45 minutes at a time, not due to the stimulation per se, but predominately due to its glaring contrivance.
It's a shorter game, but I question its ability to maintain relevancy outside the 8 hours you dedicate to it. I would not buy this game for full price personally, but if you find it on Game Pass then there's really no downside to downloading it.
The game mechanics are slow in my opinion, and the button layout is odd. I would find myself rarely using stronger attacks because it didn't feel particularly satisfying or all that necessary. The fighting is fine, but lackluster.. and the music is fun at first but gets old a few hours in. Avid gamers will definitely notice the wonkiness, but a casual gamer would barely notice.
Overall I think people should try it out for themselves, but if you have other games you're dying to play first then I'd leave it on the backburner.

Ignore the Critics!
This game is awesome! First off it is made by one of the creator's of Rick and Morty and it shows. The main voice actor in the game is the voice actor for Morty himself and he is so funny! If you like RIck and Morty humor this game is for you, and man it was for me!
Here are some positives:
You should play this game, I have no clue why it got bombed so hard it doesn't deserve it at all. Play it on game pass now!

Here are some positives:
- Short campaign with a lot to do. I am a fan of the 10-12 hour campaign, I do not need every game to be a 100 hours of fetch quests. This is a shorter and more refined experience that focuses on art style, funny writing, and good FPS gameplay and platforming.
- Combat and movement feel good and are very different. As you get new abilities, suit upgrades, and weapons you can move and kill in new ways. It is very fun in that regard.
- The story is actually really fun and compelling. You are a bounty hunter seeking to take down a cartel from the bottom up.
- The cast of characters are great. All the Guns have super funny personalities and even a touching and tragic backstory that you will learn about throughout the story.
- The game is FUNNY. If you like Rick and Morty, play this game. If you like this game watch Rick and Morty.
- The graphics and art direction pops off the screen.
- The main villain is absolutely the worst in the best way, and by the lost boss battle you will be so ready to end its life.
- The boss battles are a fun combination of puzzle combat and shooting.
- The worlds are beautiful and colorful.
- The worldbuilding is also really great and clever. There is definitely room for a sequel, I like the lore and factions in the world a lot.
- Variety in locations and enemy types.
- The achievement hunt it so good! You can, with a guide get 100% completion in one playthrough.
- The length is perfect. I want to say my playthrough was around 12 hours with near total achievement completion. I love shorter focused campaigns because I can replay them and it ups the quality. This is one of those classic 12-15 hour shooter campaigns from back in the 360 days.
You should play this game, I have no clue why it got bombed so hard it doesn't deserve it at all. Play it on game pass now!

- AnecdotesThe developers look at several episodes of 1, rue Sésame (1969) for inspiration of what the talking guns would look like.
