Burn, Gaby, Burn! (2004)
*** (out of 4)
Nice interview with actress Gaby Fuchs who is best remembered for playing the main victim in the infamous MARK OF THE DEVIL. She plays the woman who gets raped, is accused of worshiping Satan and then, most infamously, has her tongue ripped out. This 7-minute interview can be found on the Blue Underground disc of the film and is well worth watching. The actress states she was only 18 at the time of making the film but she remembers enough including the various violence and nudity in the film. She says that the nudity didn't bother her and that she in fact finds a simple nude scene to be a lot easier than when a male actor is involved in the same type of scene with you. She also talks about the directing controversy and she too says it was mainly Adrian Hoven who worked with her (a point shared by others on the disc). She also talks about finding her first boyfriend in the assistant director and of course she learns for the first time about the vomit bags that were handed out. There's certainly nothing great here but it's a pleasant little interview with a few nice stories that fans of the film will enjoy.
