I saw the movie at the Newport Film Festival and I have to say it was one of the most amazing, educational, intense, and extremely well done documentary. I did not want it to end. The way the characters all came together and told their story touched my heart as well as everyone who watched it that night. I am a parent of a 13 year old boy and I was so sad and yet thankful to hear the stories and to learn from them. This is an epidemic and it is taking the lives of our children. We need laws to be passed to punish the doctors that prescribe the pills to the kids as well as adults. It takes people like Natalie Costa and Brent Huff who are willing to take a stance and put all their energy and effort into bringing this epidemic to light and to get people to listen. I highly recommend this movie. It will change your life and open your eyes to a silent killer that must be stopped.
This full length documentary is a must watch for families. A hard look at the epidemic of RX addiction sweeping our children off their feet and into their graves'. Nobody sees this addiction coming from their medicine cabinet until it is too late. The Director did a remarkable job bringing these stories together and illustrating a grim reality while interjecting some comedic relief through real human actions. A difficult task but much like going to a funeral and never expecting to laugh but you do because truth is stranger than fiction and that is what made this movie so moving. It wasn't a bummer or downer as one might expect given the subject. You never knew if you would be tearing up, gasping, or laughing as the characters were real parents, kids and families. Highly recommended!!

I saw the film, Behind the Orange Curtain, recently at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Having grown up in Orange County, California, I have known individuals who have used prescription drugs, become addicted and some eventually passed away. This is certainly an important film, and many of the viewers at the festival were moved by it. Behind the Orange Curtain spreads the much awareness of prescription drug use. It helps brings up discussions within families, which will hopefully curb teens experimentation. I'm looking forward to purchasing a copy of my own when it becomes available. Everyone should see this film.
