King's Faith

Loved this film!

It is about time that we have the chance to bring our families to a film with such a great message. The actors did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life. The story line was very relevant for the times without being "cheesey". With all the different relationships and struggles going on, I think that viewers of all ages can find something to relate to in this movie. What a beautiful backdrop for the film, gotta love Rochester, NY. I encourage people to support films like this so that more are made in the future. Thank you "Faith Street Films" for creating and sharing such a wonderful story.

I love this movie. I thought it sent a good message to the audience how just because you made a mistake once, doesn't mean you have to continue making mistakes the rest of your life. I think all families should see this. I am not giving this move an 8 just because I helped with it, I truly think it deserves an 8 rating. This movie touched me inside like no other just due to the emotions the characters showed. I won't say much more so not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. I would definitely suggest all see it. The actors did awesome in a short time that they had to learn their lines, and get it recorded. This film was a success due to hard working dedicated volunteers that helped behind the scenes. This film could not have done it with out the outside help. I never knew how much went into a movie till I helped with this on.

"When eighteen-year-old Brendan King attempts to leave his turbulent gang life behind him, his past continues to threaten his new-found faith, family, and future." That is the writeup that we read before seeing the movie and we had a feeling that it was going to be the usual Hollywood trash that is so prevalent today. Loud bass rap, half dressed women, tons of sex and drugs, and absolutely no real dialog or story. But we decided to give it a quick look, because of some reviews, to see if it might be a diamond in the ruff. Thank God we did and a diamond we did find. Excellent movie that kept us engaged the entire hour and 45 minutes. You just never knew for sure what direction the story would take and that kept us glued. Well worth watching! There is no doubt in our minds that whoever watches this movie and doesn't think that it was a pleasure to watch are the same people that rooted for Darth Vader;)

Rent or buy it and watch it....Especially if you have teens or preteens in your life. Excellent to discuss afterwords.

Fabulous Movie!!!

Well worth your time to see this movie - and you'll want to see it more than once! Family values, God talk, and Scripture quoted from the big Screen. We recommend this movie to all families, esp with teens. It does a great job of portraying what teens and families in our time are going through, and how even when doubting, true faith overcomes. King's Faith definitely shows that a person with faith CAN overcome their past, do what is needed in the present, and look forward with HOPE to the future. Jer. 29:11 - All the characters of the movie are well done, and we are very grateful to Faith Street Productions and Nicolas DiBella for creating and producing this film.

A far more realistic but positive view of religion is presented here in King's Faith. It's the story of young Brendan King played by Crawford Wilson who is a young man newly released from juvenile prison where he was saved. Wilson is taken in by James McDaniel late of NYPD Blue and his wife Lynn Whitfield who lost their son who was a police officer presumably for the Rochester, NY PD. The film was shot in and around Rochester and one of its more conservative suburbs of Greece.

Not believing that Wilson has reformed is detective Christopher Jon Martin. And aiding and abetting that view is Brandon Correa who was one of Wilson's gang running buddies back in the day. Correa has his own reasons for wanting Wilson back in the old life.

In the end Wilson does find he has the character to withstand temptation though he goes through some nasty trials.

King's Faith is a Christian film that lays off the heavy duty preaching and is placed in a realistic setting. The ensemble cast is good and sincere. I'd recommend it for more than church audiences although it is flawed in one respect. No way did Crawford Wilson do any decent amount of time and still be of an age to go back into high school and graduate.
