When Peyton List needed to decorate her new 1,521-square-foot starter home, she asked her 11 million Instagram followers for help.
The account of interior designer and founder of A 1000 Times Better, Kristen Blazek, was the perfect mix of bohemian and youthful for the former Disney star, 19. “I really loved the aesthetic,” List tells archdigest.com. “It felt homey and that was super important.” She was so inspired, in fact, that she gave her Blazek’s team a blank slate. “I told them, ‘Go in. Jay and Mark Duplass are creators who don’t like to be put in a box, even if they’re making six hours of television set within the same four walls.
“Room 104,” the new HBO anthology series from the Duplass brothers, tells individual, episodic stories in each of its 12 half-hour installments, and all 12 are set within the same cheap, dingy hotel room. The first episode, which premiered at the Atx TV Festival Saturday evening, is a lot closer to Mark Duplass’ work in indie films “Creep” and “The One I Love” than the brothers’ former HBO comedy.
During a panel discussion following the episode, Duplass said he felt inspired by the constraints of the premise.
“I have something like 218 ideas in a Word document on my computer,” Duplass said.
Noting how it felt like he was back making low-budget indie films, Duplass said he wrote seven of the 12 episodes...

Gossip Liv was a pain in the ass for everyone else, namely Ravi, but she was certainly entertaining to watch.
On iZombie Season 3 Episode 4, Liv and Clive had to figure out who killed Cheryl, the office gossip, and the list of suspects was as long as Cheryl's Complaint file was wide.
Clive has adjusted quite well to his zombie partner's personality changes. The moment he figured out that Cheryl was the gossip, and that explained why Liv was being so darn nosy and gossiping about other detectives in the precinct, was definitely worth a chuckle.
Apparently, no secret was safe when Cheryl found out. She cost Vikki a promotion, exposed the affair her male colleague had with another man, thus breaking up his marriage, and revealed the fact that Rhonda used to be a porn star.
The latter is what contributed to Liv and Clive figuring out just how Cheryl died.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Archer Dreamland,” Season 8, Episode 1, “No Good Deed.”]
Those waiting to find out the fate of Sterling Archer will have to wait a little longer. Following last season’s cliffhanger ending where Archer, shot and bleeding, passed out in Lana’s arms, Season 8 picks up with a bait-and-switch. The tombstone the entire cast huddles around isn’t Archer’s, but Woodhouse’s. Archer is alive, but he’s been in a coma for the last three months — and he may never come out of it.
He could wake up “tomorrow, could be another three months, could be…” Mallory trails off. “There’s no telling what he knows, or what he’s thinking about. Well, dreaming about, I suppose.”
And with that, we enter “Dreamland.”
As mentioned in our season review, the primary concern with the set-up for Season 8 was whether or not “Dreamland” could prove relevant and/or entertaining enough to distract us from Archer’s life or death state.

Working out what stars go in what order on a movie poster is quite a job. And causes many, many arguments...
Billing can be important to an actor's career. Arguably, it's more important to their ego. Most of all, though, it's cross-eyed dead crucial to their agent. The order in which actor's names appear on a poster might be contested as if it's a matter of life or death. It's no exaggeration to say that people have been sent to the electric chair with less wrangling or dispute than a handful of movie star names have been splashed onto a poster.
To be 'top of the bill' originally meant, literally, that your name is at the top of the bill – i.e. the poster. In variety theatre or music hall terms, this implies that you would take the stage last of all, the big attraction that the...

Oh, Harry Potter. The franchise that’s launched a thousand careers. Okay, that may be overselling it a bit. However, there’s no doubt that no matter your opinion on the Harry Potter books or the Harry Potter films, they've had an immeasurable impact on pop culture, and while it may not have launched a thousand careers, it definitely launched two healthy ones with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. A good five-plus years after the final film hit theaters, these two are still as relevant today as they ever were. In addition to the careers the films have launched, there’s also the fact that they were released over the course of an entire decade, after all, and with such a release schedule comes the fact that it’s a film series that’s shaped millions of childhoods.

Dancing with the Stars pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 36, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 30, began rehearsing for the hit ABC competition reality show's upcoming 23rd season this week. And judging from Instagram videos they each posted of their early practice sessions, it looks like the rival Chmerkovskiys might be off to an early lead. Ghostbusters is that rarest thing – a remake that is as much fun as the original (some would say more) that also honors the memorable original. Take that, internet grumblers!
Fans who were worried about this remake can relax – the results are very funny. The comedy is great, and non-stop, packed with clever affectionate references to the original. The logo and the catchy theme song are back (with a few remixes added), and the goofy humor of battling ghosts with technology is all there.
This is the kind of film you hope to see in summer – a movie just for fun that truly entertains.
Kristen Wiig re-teams with her Bridesmaids director Paul Feig and co-star Melissa McCarthy, for a hilarious romp that is like a superhero movie without the ponderous stuff. These folks know it is ridiculous and they are just here to entertain. Better yet, it should put to rest...

By the time Leslie Jones appears in “Ghostbusters” — it takes a few scenes to get there — she’s instantly likable. As the wackadoodle scientist peddling gadgets, Kate McKinnon steals the show, but Jones isn’t anyone’s sidekick. She’s funny on “Saturday Night Live,” but the “Ghostbuster” reboot’s script doesn’t allow her character Patty Tolan to really soar.
Her best joke of the movie – after two of her ghost-busting peers crowd surf at a rock concern, the sea of people declines to catch her – gets at a question the movie itself isn’t equipped to really answer. Her character works best when she’s calling out this inequality: “I don’t know if it’s a race thing or a lady thing,” she says. “But I’m mad as hell.”

The X Factor has always traded in the past on emotional manipulation - the sob stories, the perfect surging music at just the right moment. It's forever been the televisual equivalent of the "all the feels" meme, but they've been sort of candyfloss versions of feelings - fleeting and confected.
And Simon Cowell has always been the tough member of the panel: the uncompromising, rational judge who might show that he's being moved, but only with a vague awareness that it makes good television.
So the end of tonight's show - in which auditionee Josh Daniel dedicated a song to the friend he lost a couple of years ago - hit us hard, bringing as it did some real genuine emotion far beyond regular The X Factor fare.
Of course, we know that Simon sadly lost his mother Julie just before X Factor auditions began, but after...

The highlight of the event was the must-see film of 2015 – Ridley Scott’s The Martian.
During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, Nasa and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible, rescue mission. All the Wilderness is caught somewhere between a terrific short film and a tender, sensitive coming-of-age drama. Without credits, Michael Johnson’s film is 71 minutes long, which is too brief to fully explore the pain and pleasures experienced by young protagonist James Charm (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Meanwhile, given how the stakes are low and the themes repeat throughout, a 30-minute version of the same material could have been more focused and affecting. Alas, the film must cope with a slender running time.
Although his surname is Charm, James is anything but charming. Obsessed with the macabre, he draws sketches of dead birds and insects in his notebook, and also tells the school bully he expects him to die within the next year. (That altercation gives James a black eye.) Mom Abigail (Virginia Madsen) doesn’t know how to deal with her son’s morbidity, especially after the death of her husband.

If you grew up in the 1980s, then no doubt you'll remember ITV's very own take on the Robin Hood legend. Robin Of Sherwood would face the formidable presence of the Sheriff of Nottingham on a weekly basis, and would do so while flicking his girly locks from side to side to the ethereal dulcet tones of Clannad.
Robin Of Sherwood went out between 1984 and 1986, which was to be one of Doctor Who's best forgotten periods of history. As the old saying goes, civilisations rise and civilisations fall, and in the mid 1980s, Doctor Who's cosy little world was in danger of crumbling. Some of the fans were turning up their noses at John Nathan Turner's stewardship, while the evil big shots at the BBC were rubbing their hands in glee at the 18-month hiatus. About 30 years later, the presence of Robin Hood again caused dissension in the ranks.

Specialty Box Office: 'What If' Leads Weak Openers; 'Boyhood' and 'Most Wanted Man' Pass $10 Million
For the second straight weekend, a high-profile festival acquisition opened to mixed results, as CBS Films' Daniel Radcliffe vehicle "What If" struggled to find significant traction in ten markets before it moves wider next week. Last week's top opener "Calvary" (Fox Searchlight) struggled in some markets as it expanded more broadly than usual. Better news comes from two specialized releases now finding traction among crossover audiences, as "Boyhood" (IFC) and "The Most Wanted Man" (Roadside Attractions) both passed the $10 million mark. Woody Allen's "Magic in the Moonlight" (Sony Pictures Classics) is heading toward that milestone, but will be the smallest-grossing among the four films marking his recent resurgence.
