Premiering Thursday, Sept. 4, on Peacock, The Paper follows the staff of The Toledo Truth-Teller, a once-proud regional newspaper that has fallen on hard times and that now shares office space with a toilet paper company. Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, the mockumentary series stars The Office‘s Oscar Nuñez, Domhnall Gleeson as Tp salesman-turned-Eic Ned, Sabrina Impacciatore as interim managing editor Esmeralda and others.

Pete Davidson is looking back on the fallout after he decided to pull the plug on his Peacock series Bupkis.

The 30-year-old comedian and actor opened up about the situation during a new interview with The Breakfast Club, where he also discussed his sobriety and life in the spotlight.

“I canceled Bupkis and I got in trouble for it ’cause I didn’t— I love that show, I loved doing Bupkis, I had a blast, thank you [host Charlamagne tha God] for being in it,” Pete shared.

“It just got to a point where I got really tired of my whole career just being my personal life, and living through that is sort of traumatic — not to be lame — but it’s traumatic to live in your own crap all the time.”

Pete Davidson opened up about becoming a father for the first time after his actress girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, announced that she’s pregnant.

“I did it!” Davidson jokingly said about the pregnancy while appearing on Tuesday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. After the audience burst into applause, Davidson took a moment to express how excited he is for fatherhood.

Exclusive: Andrew Singer, former President of Film & Television of Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video, has launched Revue Studios, a new independent content studio backed by Wasserman, the sports, music and entertainment company founded and run by Casey Wasserman.

Singer will oversee the scripted operation with focus on comedy, which fits his background at Broadway Video, emphasizing premium storytelling.

The launch of Revue Studios expands Wasserman’s footprint in entertainment. It was established with the 2023 acquisition of talent management and production company Brillstein Entertainment Partners whose CEO Jon Liebman oversees Wasserman’s businesses in that space, including Bep, the non-fiction division launched last year with Zoe Rogovin at the helm and now Revue Studios. The previously unnamed non-fiction unit, which has been making strides in the documentary, docu-series and original format spaces, will now carry the Revue banner which could also expand into other content areas in the future, including genre and YA.

After just one season of “Saturday Night Live,” Pete Davidson wanted out. In the new “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night” docuseries, the comedian revealed that he asked series creator and showrunner Lorne Michaels to cut him loose.

“After my first year, I actually called for a meeting with Lorne. I was like, ‘Please fire me,'” Davidson said. “‘I don’t belong here. Everybody here is so talented, and they don’t want to be my friend.’ I was a child! I was like, ‘Nobody wants to be my friend!'”

As Davidson remembers it, Michaels told him, “You don’t figure it out until your third or fourth year. It’s just going to suck for like three or four years.” Davidson, who ended up staying on as a cast member for eight seasons, added, “He was right!”

Exclusive: This is one of those “end of an era” executive departures. Andrew Singer is leaving Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video after more than 21 years. He most recently has served as President of Film & Television and Head of West Coast Operations, overseeing the company’s staff, development slate, and production deals with NBCUniversal and other studios.

Singer’s pending exit is still being negotiated, including his ongoing involvement as a producer in series he has shepherded, sources said.

Terrifier‘s humble beginnings originated in the mind of Damien Leone. Prior to making his directorial debut, the New York-based aspiring filmmaker and special effects artist envisioned a clown terrorizing a woman on a city bus.

Leone realized his vision in The 9th Circle, a 2008 short film in which Art The Clown made his first appearance as one of several evil entities. The homicidal clown returned as the antagonist in Terrifier, a 2011 short film that helped establish many of the character’s trademarks.

Terrifier caught the attention of producer Jesse Baget, who reached out to Leone about including it in an anthology alongside other filmmakers’ shorts.
