History by the Numbers

The premise is great. Show interesting numbers on topics and build an episode around it.

The problem is the delivery. The narrator is the worst possible, glib, annoying, talking through his nose, speaking in a "Gosh really?" tone like he's doing a children's show.

Then add man on the street interviews with goofy questions and dorky answers. You will fast forward every time.

The goofy graphics and slapstick comedy are just as bad.

But once you skip past or ignore all that, there are some interesting parts. Even then, at times their silly biases are annoying. The program on the wealthiest people alive gushes over them, kisses their behinds as (seriously) the most amazing, smartest, and even most handsome (!!!) people alive.

This series attempts to offer some factoids about various topics, and tries to make it interesting and easy to digest. There are some 'experts' specific to each episode who offer some insights into what ever is being presented, and these are useful. However, there are also a regular cast of 'persons on the street' interviews with people who usually have nothing to do with the topic of the episode, but whose opinions we are supposed to consider. Curiously, these people are always wearing exactly the same outfits in each episode, thus suggesting that whatever they are talking about was all filmed at the same time, for all 20 episodes! That, or their wardrobes are extremely sparse!

I would prefer to consider these facts in a more serious documentary style.
