After an extended acting hiatus, Cameron Diaz recently returned to the screen with her role alongside Jamie Foxx in the action comedy movie Back in Action. She will be heading back to Netflix for her next feature film role, taking on a character similar to one played by Michael Douglas in 1993.

Per THR, Diaz is set to star in Netflix's Bad Day, an action comedy movie directed by Jake Szymanski. Laura Solon wrote the screenplay and will also executive produce alongside Mark Moran. Beau Bauman, who worked with Diaz on Back in Action, is serving as a producer for Bad Day as well. Solon and Bauman previously collaborated on Office Christmas Party and Let It Snow.

Bad Day follows Diaz as a "single mom fighting to keep one little promise to her daughter on the absolute worst day of her life." The plot is reminiscent of Falling Down, Joel Schumacher's 1993 drama.

The project has been described as a comedic version of Falling Down, the 1993 drama directed by Joel Schumacher that starred Michael Douglas as a man who hits his breaking point while trying to get to his daughter’s birthday party.

Starz’s Power franchise finally revealed the identity of Branford ‘Breeze’ Frady. The character’s been talked about since the franchise first launched back in 2014, but it wasn’t until Power Book III: Raising Kanan season four’s finale that Breeze appeared on screen, played by Shameik Moore (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).

Shameik Moore will continue playing Breeze as a new series regular in the upcoming fifth and final season. Per Starz: “Known as a drug kingpin from Jamaica, Queens, Breeze employed a young Kanan Stark, as well as James St. Patrick and Tommy Egan, with James and Tommy as his corner boys.”

The finale, which aired on May 15, 2025, showed Snaps (Wendell Pierce) and Pop (Erika Woods) introducing Kanan (MeKai Curtis) to Breeze. The introduction is a “lasting tie” between the original series and the prequel.

Control Freak is slated to be released on Hulu on Thursday, March 13, 2025. With March right around the corner, you want to make sure not to forget the date. Better yet, it's probably best that you mark it down in your calendar.

Despite her young age, Kiernan Shipka's best movies and TV shows show just how long she has been around and the impressive career she has built. The American actor started her career at a young age, proving herself one of the most acclaimed child actors on television as Sally Draper in Mad Men. However, she escaped the trap many child actors have found themselves in as she continued working and began to earn teenage roles as well as young adult roles.

Shipka has proven herself a lead actor, starring in fan-favorite series as well as winning comedies. The sci-fi thriller M3GAN (read our review Here, get a copy Here) was such a financial success when it reached theatres in January of last year, it didn’t even take Universal Pictures and production companies Blumhouse and Atomic Monster two weeks to announce that they’d be re-teaming for a sequel. We’ve known that M3GAN stars Allison Williams and Violet McGraw will be reprising their roles in M3GAN 2.0, which is set to reach theatres on May 16, 2025, and now Deadline reports that they’re being joined in the cast by Ivanna Sakhno, who is said to have landed a major part in the sequel.

M3GAN 2.0 has added one of the stars of Disney+'s Ahsoka to the cast. The upcoming movie is a sequel to one of 2023's biggest horror success stories. The original movie followed roboticist Gemma (Allison Williams) giving her newly orphaned niece Cady (Violet McGraw) a robotic companion named M3GAN whose attempts to protect the girl quickly turned deadly. The movie was a smash hit, earning $181 million worldwide against its $12 million budget, so a sequel was quickly greenlit. The sequel was written by original screenwriter Akela Cooper with original director Gerard Johnstone, who is also in talks to direct.

Exclusive: Following her breakout role as Shin Hati in the hit Star Wars series Ahsoka, Ivanna Sakhno has found her next big role. Sources tell Deadline she has landed a major part in M3GAN 2.0, a sequel to the hit film from Atomic Monster and Blumhouse in association with Divide/Conquer.

She joins a cast that includes Allison Williams and Violet McGraw.

Plot details on M3GAN 2.0 are unknown, but the original film revolves around a life-like AI doll that is programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma (Williams), M3GAN can listen, watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. That film would go on to make $180 million worldwide on a $12 million budget, with a sequel quickly going into development.

Control Freak follows a motivational speaker plagued by an uncontrollable itch on her head, who becomes infected with a parasitic demon from her homeland. Tran stars as “Valerie,” alongside Robbins who plays her husband, “Robbie.”

A month away from its debut, the new Disney+ and Lucasfilm animated shorts series “Star Wars: Tales of the Empire” has received its first trailer and key art.

The second installment of “Tales” series, following the critically acclaimed 2022 series “Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi,” the Dave Filoni-created “Tales of the Empire” travels deep inside the fearsome Galactic Empire through the eyes of two warriors on separate paths and in different eras: young Morgan Elsbeth, who is navigating “the expanding Imperial world toward a path of vengeance,” and former Jedi Barriss Offee, who is doing “what she must do to survive a rapidly changing galaxy.

The “Among Us” animated series in the works at CBS Studios is continuing to build out its voice cast.

Dan Stevens, Liv Hewson, and Kimiko Glenn have all joined the series adaptation of the popular mobile game. They join previously announced cast members Randall Park, Yvette Nicole Brown, Elijah Wood, and Ashley Johnson.

Hey, "The Voice" fans. Tonight, December 19, 2023, the Live, finale episode of The Voice's current season 24 did indeed hit the air, and we finally found out who won this thing. All The coaches/judges: Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, John Legend and Gwen Stefani were on hand. The five finalists were: Huntley and Mara Justine from Team Niall Horan. Ruby Leigh and Jacquie Roar from Team Reba McEntire. Lila Forde from Team John Legend. Gwen had no team members in this season's finale. Tonight's finale episode kicked off with the top 12 contestants hitting the stage to perform an opening number. After that, the coaches/judges hit the stage to perform a rendition of the holiday song titled, "Let it Snow.” Huntley and Niall Horan did a duet to the song, "Knocking on Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan.

As the celebrity coaches and audiences voted for the last singer standing in the NBC competition show, Tuesday’s finale revealed the winner as Huntley. With his victory, the performer from Team Niall has secured the $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group.
