Must Watch

Best thing I ever watch. Can't control my tears, every moment I feel about my family, especially my sister. She is always very kind to me. Can't relate to how these kids acting like.... ohhh. Out of my word. It's true that many kids out there can't cross that barrier to earning knowledge, but we are developing 5G, going mars pretty fascinating, isn't it?

Beautiful bitter sweet movie

Watch it! I find no fault in this movie. The setting, acting, pace, scenery, music, storyline and mood combines to make a great movie. It's bitter sweet with funny moments and heart wrenching ones. Don't want to give any spoilers.

Moving, well done, with extraordinary children

Beautifully filmed, with fantastic acting (the two children are particularly amazing), this movie portrays, with a simple but effective script, a very moving story about Tibeto-Burman ethnic Lisu people in remote mountainous areas of Fugong County, in the west of Yunnan province bordering Myanmar. That people in the countryside need to use zip-lines in order to cross wild Nu River. There is no feasible alternative way for some children to go to school, or for physicians who shall attend the sick in some remote areas. Is solidarity enough when the State ignores poor people in those far away places?

Beautiful movie

I wanna give Wawa a big old hug. He and Naxiang are goals.

I loved the outfits, the house, the dog, the wild landscape is as beautiful as it is lethal. Those rocks and that wild green river. Very vibrant looking movie and feelgood for the most part, despite the hardships it clearly shows.

Based on a true story at the time it was shot, where there was no bridge built and probably no donations for those local children. A PSA movie but very beautiful and with a lot of heart. Also, there's quite a lot of heartbreak.

The directors had their moment of brilliance with this movie and then nothing much. How does that happen?

Hidden gem

Came across this on YouTube, had zero expectations and just wanted to check out the first few minutes to see what it was about. Ended up watching the entire film (~1 hour and 20 minutes) in one sitting. The acting by the two kids were amazing, the scenery throughout the movie was beautiful and the storyline was simple but everything was very well done. WARNING: Before watching, do not read any synopsis for this movie or comments on the YT video as you will risk spoiling it for youself!
