As the title suggests, the short film Moonstruck is about a lunar anomaly that drives anyone who looks at the moon crazy. But in this case, it's more serious-those who look at the moon become highly aggressive and attack anyone who hasn't been "moonstruck" yet, causing a national emergency. The story follows a mother trying to protect her daughter from her husband, who has fallen victim to the moon's influence.
I'd say this is an okay short film, but there's nothing particularly impressive about it. The acting is decent, the plot is fine, and the special effects are mostly okay. The issue is that while a horror story like this could be full of suspense-packed with action like wild chases, near-misses with moonlight, or neighbors joining the chase-none of that really happens. The film feels very plain.
Even with a runtime of just 12 minutes, Moonstruck could have been much more engaging. The ending didn't help much either. I strongly believe there should have been more action within those 12 minutes to really build the suspense and adrenaline.
