Avis à la une
This anime is worthwhile, intriguing, and left me excited at the end. It follows Saya, a high school girl who fights monsters that feed on human blood.
The story is well-suited for a 12-episode miniseries. The character development is executed effectively. Saya, with her innocence and caring nature, is portrayed convincingly in several scenes. Her relationships with her father, Fumito, the cafe owner, and her classmate, Tokizane, add depth, especially as the story unfolds at key moments. The cat's mystery is also satisfactorily resolved in the final episodes. Although the initial episodes focus on school life, which tested my patience, the later episodes justify this setup.
Watching this in 2025, after seeing several movies rich in twists and themes, the storyline may seem somewhat cliché. However, the way this cliché is presented makes it enjoyable. The action scenes are well done and engaging. While the plot twists are commendable, they do not exceed expectations.
The voice acting is strong for each character, and the animation is impressive for its time. The music is also good. I didn't realize this anime had prequel and sequel movies, but I'm eager to check them out since the series hooked me by the end.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed this anime. I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who are new to anime or looking for a mini-series.

It's an okish anime, if you manage to hold on for the end.
Not gonna spoil anything, but I almost lost interest in it several times, yet the end is worth the boring, repetitive, almost stereotypical anime plot.
I know nothing about it's relation to other anime (if any), but as I watched it, it got me (even if barely).
Gore, some anime tiddies, some kawaii moments, meh, worth a watch at least.

Gory anime with starrt 2 3 episodes uninteresting but story lives upto the point that u want to keep on watching this fantastic anime. An indeed clifff hanger ending but i heard that theres a movie that continues.
An awesome anime in my perspective and opinion
I've followed Blood since the 2000 film which was dark, brooding, and angry; a truly sensual treat to the senses, primarily because of its equally dark, brooding, and angry main character. When the 2005 anime series Blood+ was released I watched excitedly, ever hoping for the appearance of the Saya from the movie version. While the series developed well and the story was engrossing, the Saya from the series never reached the level of the her motion picture counterpart. I can't say it was a disappointment because the series was so well executed.
When I found Blood-C, I hoped to find yet another incarnation of Saya who might stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the 2000 film version. I'm still waiting. I can't say I dislike the series because it has elements that are enjoyable to watch and a story the moves slowly toward bigger things. Still it lacks the intensity of the film or even the first series. In that the series is still ongoing, I can't say whether it will develop into the master work of the film or Blood+. I continue to hope and, for now, continue to watch.
If you enjoy the Blood concept, Blood-C may be enough to hold your interest and, as I said, hopefully it will develop into another arm of the original, engrossing idea.

I finished seeing the Blood-C sequel movie just now as well, but the 12 episode anime itself... was something really bizarre and "despicably" special. It was too much even for me, and I love Gantz and Elfen Lied!!!
I was expecting it to be the next series after Blood+ knowing it was a spiritual sequel... However it turned out to be thematically and structurally something completely different... It functions a lot like a mixture of "When They Cry" + Gantz.
Only the lead girl Saya's name and "girl fighting monsters with sword" element is taken from the previous series, as this shows thrusts this new Saya (who is noticeably much more cuter, bustier and sexier than her previous version with her extremely hot Alexis Tipton voice), into a world that she seems to be suspiciously OK in.... Living happily.
Without spoiling, this anime tries to hide what it actually is and that's one of the most unsettling things about it.
Aside from the awesome and gorgeous action animation, sexy female characters, jump scenes and an insanely catchy and cool opening which make this anime maybe worth watching, the story is quite shallow and relies on shock value.
But only those who can handle extreme shifts in a shows themes. And I mean EXTREME are advised to watch it. I'm still not okay with its ending which just left me speechless and so empty inside...
Weird thing is I had previously seen the last episodes penultimate horrifying climax in Facebook video in 2020.... And i unwittingly ended up watching the anime itself so many years later... 7:49am 13.4.2025.
