I watched this film with my family. My grandma laughed, my sister laughed, my mom laugh. This comedy reached a multi-generational audience. It's a cute film, with of course some hiccups, but that's to be expected when trying to do a film of this scale with an independent budget. With that being said, the cinematography was beautiful. You could tell the director spent a lot of money trying to give it a big budget feel. The acting was all great. Was especially surprised with some of the minor characters. My favorite scenes were with Grandma and Art, they brought a subtle realism to the movie.

I'd say this film is like "Roger Rabbit meets Dude where's my Car meets Smoke Signals"

If you're looking for a lighthearted film, that has heart, silly humor, and mischief; then go watch this film. If you're going to dissect every bit of it, be disappointed that there wasn't anyone actually naked, and watch it like it should be nominated for the Oscars; then I would say find a different film to watch.

All in all for an independent comedy/romance, the filmmakers did a good job and I look forward to seeing what they can do in the future.

I was hoping to watch a funny movie. But it isn't a good comedy, more a tragedy. There are some porn movies with a better script. At least there's nudity in those movies.

While watching this train wreck, I was curious how bad the reviews would be. To my surprise I saw it was rated very high by a few. Not sure what is up with that.

Script 1 out of 10; Acting: 1 our of 10; Laughs: 1 out of 10; Eye Candy: 2 out of 10.

To bad, I want to enjoy low budget films for what they are, but there is no payoff.

This was not very good at all. Way to stiff, without any spontaneous feel. I liked the grandma though. But the rest was just not any fun. No quick comments and a flat dialog. Very unoriginal, been there, seen that done way too many times, almost always better too. The half nude scenes achieves very little too.

I'll say like Homer Simpson, " If you try and fail, give up".

I wish i had read the reviews beforehand. Would have saved me wasting time.

Not a bad major plot and somewhat entertaining.

Sadly, the film was badly marred by far too much profanity, lewdness and sexual content. The writers really blew it and messed up what could have been a good little film, that would have appealed to a wide range of viewers, and make many more people interested in seeing the movie.

It is sad to see writers that fail to have the vision of making a film enjoyable for a very wide range of viewers, instead of limiting the viewership because of poor strategy. A film made with the objective of reaching 60% of the population is smarter that making a film that would reach only 30 to 40 % of the population (that comes from the wisdom of Burt Reynolds, as he looked back over his career)

This movie was terrible, with poor acting, poor jokes and no real plot.

I only chose to watch this movie because I enjoyed watching Elyse Levesque from Stargate Universe but unfortunately even her performance was a disappointment.

There was a lot of over the top characters that just came of ridiculous and not funny at all.

But the icing on the cake was the grandmother who throughout the movie appeared to be in a daze unaware that she was suppose to be doing something called acting. If her purpose was to read lines in a flat tone and show no emotion, then she did a bang up job.

Can it still be considered a comedy if it doesn't make you laugh or chuckle or even smile?

As far as the fake 10 star reviews go, I cant help but wonder which one of the idiot actors or crew decided it would be a good idea.

Unfortunately this movie was horrible and I would urge you to pay to NOT watch this. Seriously if someone offers to screen this movie for you, pay them money to instead burn their copy of this movie.

Don't waste your time, its too precious to waste on this.

I watched it for free on Youtube just looking for diversion and am pleasantly surprised. It was a silly, funny movie. No actual nudity and more talking about sex than having it. Art and Louise are deadpan and hilarious! This movie was just what I needed!

Not the very worst independent comedy I have ever seen but it is much closer to "worst" than it is to "average". For a movie called fishing naked, it doesn't even have any nudity, which is about the only thing that could have saved this cheap, boring, poorly acted and even worse written mess that has zero laughs and which put absolutely zero effort into its Bigfoot or any other effects or expenses. It even looks and sounds bad. Hard pass from me, save your time and money. There's many other Bigfoot movies out there, and most of them, even the zero budget ones, are better than this snooze fest.

Our little film has been out for a little over 2 weeks and our anti piracy firm has already reported taking down over 3,000 illegal sites. We were afraid this might happen to a film with NAKED in the title. FISHING tends not to provoke the same interest in the same ways. More unfortunately the little thieves also ratings bombed us... If you look at the 1 star reviews we have gotten, many of them are from oversees before the movie was available overseas and there appears to have been a bit of a pile on. IMDb doesn't appear to care our film was stolen then trashed so I recommend you take a look at the sites people actually purchase the film from if you want more accurate reviews. Sure, there are a few low reviews that are legit and all I can say is I don't like a lot of the films I see either. The difference is, I don't lurk in my Mom's basement exacting imagined retribution for my jealousies and frustrations on films that are not my taste. I enjoy movies, am happy to pay $4 for 2 hours of entertainment, and hope you do to.

Claiming reviews are fake because a film doesn't speak to you in the way it did someone else is just stupid. You bet, I made this movie and LOVE it and as such I give it 10 stars. And why the hell not?! I would hope anyone willing to take risks and follow their passions is proud of their creation. Is it perfect? Of course not. Is it for everyone? Definitely not. Is it a 1 star? Please, any independent film that can make it as far as we have with all of the hurdles and hoops we have to jump through as an Indie is worthy of at least a few stars. Frankly, I'm thrilled enough people are proud of this movie we got several tens. And here's a little secret, I don't know who many of them came from. My Mom is not online. So, yes, absolutely, we encourage our friends, families, associates and fans to review our films favorably. That certainly doesn't make them "fake" reviews. And frankly, it's just common sense. We aren't buying any Super Bowl spots, guys. So, please, watch the film and give us as favorable a review as you can!

Fishing Naked is a solid little movie and people are correct, we had approximately 5% of the budget we would have liked to have had to produce it. But that's great! It is a true Indie, folks. Not Searchlight, not Columbia, a true Indie. But don't take that as an excuse, just a reality that when you have 21 days to shoot a feature film in the woods, it is not going to look like the Avengers. And you embrace that. Fishing Naked has a different look, a different pace, a different perspective and it quite definitely is not for everyone. Fishing Naked was written and produced from a small town perspective and was never meant to have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish nor appeal to someone who has never been in the woods. If you don't get the film, it probably wasn't meant for you. Hint: The tourists are supposed to look a bit schlocky, contrived and over act... That's how you look to us when you visit our small communities on your holidays.

I love the reviews that say this isn't a Hollywood film. The difference is I view that as a compliment. We didn't want it to be. I was thrilled to see one review say it took them an hour to figure out what was going to happen... and they turned it off... Oh well, you missed some fantastic moments. Must not get through many movies though. How many Super Hero films do you even get past the trailer before knowing the ending?

I would like to close this with a thank you. Not to everyone who worked on the film but to everyone who has taken the time to watch it. I myself like about 50% of the movies I watch and know enough to stay away from the genres I don't care for. I am really proud of Fishing Naked and thrilled it is being watched and liked by thousands of people. And for those of you who are pleasantly surprised, AWESOME! You have my gratitude.

A very juvenile drug, sex and sci fi spoof movie. Lots of "First Nations" jargon even though that is a Canadian term being overused in this American film. The storyline is just an excuse to link sexual adventures (none of which were very interesting) of two "teenage" friends and a couple of "hippie" chicks.

The tourist fishermen are all portrayed as nitwits who despite spending money on fishing equipment and a fishing vacation don't seem to even know how to fish!

The acting is really bad, in fact if the grandma character was so stiff, that she would be perfect as a wooden cigar store Indian!! The hippie chicks were so over played that they would make Janis Joplin look like Conservative Republican matron in comparison! It is all part of the overblown schtick, but it is not very entertaining and makes the whole farce drag on!

Not a fun movie AT ALL!!!

This is not an action-packed thriller, but there are enough funny moments and some great comic lines to keep your attention. Don't miss what "chai" is called.

Elaine Miles (Grandma) plays pretty much the same character she played in Northern Exposure, which is not a bad thing.

If you were drawn to this movie by the Naked in title, you are likely to be disappointed. However, you can still have a good time even when people keep their clothing on (mostly).

Reading other reviews, it is noteworthy that there are many that totally trash this movie, and others that say it is divinely inspired. It is actually a funny, low-budget film that you'll enjoy if you give it a chance.

The movie is ... well quite differnt from what the title may or may not suggest. In the beginning you kind of get the fishing part ... then you get the naked part (sort of) ... but then you get a whole of other stuff. Apart from its silliness it has other ... things. Some may think they are issues, some may love whatever they would like to call it.

I really dig the actors and the characters they portray. Even while I wouldn't do half the stuff they do ... I really like them as movie characters. You may feel different ... especially because of their actions ... and the humor. This is up to you ... enjoy it ... or not

I had the pleasure of viewing this movie at a showing in Modesto. On a whim I saw this film without any prior knowledge of it existence. To my surprise I had a very fun outing. The plot, though a little zany and out there was highly entertaining. The actors were decent and attractive and portrayed characters that were real and relatable. Do not expect to see any celebrities or AFI legends, but for an indie project the casting directors were able to put together a stellar team.

The music and score was also enjoyable as it really fit and complemented the tone of the story.

All in all I recommend any to spend the time to watch this film in full. If you watch it as a group or with a friend it will definitely be a more entertaining venture.

A light hearted movie about making fun of tourists and them believing things that they want to believe regardless of the reality. If you are looking for a scary Bigfoot movie or a Harry and the Hendersons this ain't it. But a ok movie just the same.

#NotYourHollywoodIndian. Finally, a movie that portrays Native people as normal and White City People as absurd caricatures! Adam Sandler and Netflix should take a look at this movie and take notes. I never buy movies but I bought this movie to support our Native actors and the filmmakers who get it. It had to be an independent film because clearly Hollywood hasn't gotten past their 1950s racist portrayal of Native People yet. It is so refreshing to see Natives in a comedy. Elaine Miles in one of my favorites and the scenes she has with Steve are hilarious. They remind me of my own grand parents.

Crap, IMDb wants more lines.

I love Grandma and Art. It is so much fun to see the grandma trash talking while wearing a reggae concert T-shirt. The other thing I caught was the sign outside the doctors office. You fellow SciFi geeks should get it but I'm not going to give it away.
