One area that remains something of a black box within the IMDb database is the vast number of fetish videos - thousands have been duly added but I have not seen any reviews submitted for the true specimens - a specialized form of entertainment that has not attracted mainstream fans. (These are nearly feature length, approx. 40 minutes long, videos about bondage, tickling, foot worship, suffocation, etc.).

TABOO TALES is an attempt to bring this underground product to a general audience, in this case customers of the popular video label Adam & Eve Pictures. I found the resulting feature disappointingly conventional and ersatz.

Perhaps it is necessary to water down content to avoid censorship - I would cite the '70s porn craze documenting fisting, which now only pops up in new XXX videos from off-the-wall labels and never in a big-name context.

The five tales depicted here are acted by famous talent, not specialized Mistress this or Master of the Rope that. There are brief interviews in the Bonus section on the DVD which are patently phony, as the actors try to tell the viewers what they think they want to hear. In sum, the project is a phony.

Nicole Ray, a very talented performer in storyline boy/girl and girl/girl porn, tells us about control issues, and then we see her subjected to bondage and restraint by boy friend Seth Gamble. It's a yawner.

Probably the video's biggest draw (and it certainly attracted my attention) is Haley Cummings single or rather double-handedly bringing huge breasts into the equation. She demonstrates the restraint genre of tying up her boobs with rope, perhaps the first kinky sex topic I ever saw in a film back in the '60s/'70s in Japanese (Nikkatsu) soft porn. I still have no clue as to its appeal, whether for participants or for spectators, but Haley fits the bill at the mercy of Derrick Pierce. Her self-serving interview comments on the difficulties of being beautiful and possessing huge natural tits were appalling however.

Finale spotlights Tara Lynn Foxx, another lesbian star, here talking and acting way over the top as she plans to (and I quote the actress): "f*ck Wolf Hudson in the tushy". With benefit of a strap-on she does just that, looking and acting like a top in a Gay porno. He returns the favor with conventional sex later on, just so the fans won't feel cheated out of normalcy.
