Anecdotes
The director Mika Kaurismäki made a documentary about Vesa-Matti Loiri, where the actor stated that he would not do any more films. However Kaurismäki later got a call from Vesku saying "maybe one more little film".

Gaffes
Leo hot-wires the Pontiac, and instructs his son doing the same, stating "it's a model that needs no keys." Towards the end of the film, we see the keys in the ignition.
