Periods of Rain is a heartfelt look at how several college friends support each other through heartache, struggle and the uncertainty of the future. The main character Bishop wants to be a filmmaker, but never seems to catch a break. His friends are the only family that he has, but they are engulfed in issues of gender transformation, alcoholism, and fears of what to do after college.

It was difficult material but very relatable to everyday life. The characters are well rounded and could very easily be people we know in our own lives such as a sister, friend or partner.
