One Too Many was an important and original story to tell highlighting the plight of the innocent brutalized by the police.
Chimezie Imo saved the day by rendering a pure depiction of a helpless youngster in need of justice, he was believable😃 He once again or should we say many times again showcased his amazing skills.
Dakore, Dakore, Dakore😭😭😭 The lady could not play the role of a caring and supportive mother! Even Omowunmi Dada showed more care toward Chimezie than her. Dakore simply recited her lines, stood up without meaningful body language; it was painful to see😖 Her poor performance deflated the magnitude of the movie as we were waiting to see a torn and shattered mother due to circumstances.
And in the midst of sorrow, she was still wearing heavy make-up and dressing up🙄
The court room scenes were flat with the lawyers not using persuasive and striking arguments and the overall acting failed to make the audience walk the journey with the characters.
We could only sympathized with the story but not the screenplay as it lacked lots of logic...😔

Kayode Kasum's One Too Many (2022) has such a great and relatable storyline. I particularly fancy how it manages to blend issues of rape with the pervasive rot and decay in the Nigeria Police Force. Whilst I travelled in the universe of the film, I recalled, very vividly, the 2020 End SARS Protests and the mass killing at Lekki Toll Gate (God rest the souls of those youth). I also love how a prolonged feud between sisters was plausibly woven into the narrative, driving the plot, strengthening the conflict, constituting a solid sub-plot, and further immersing viewers in the film's diegesis.
Great acting there. Chimezie Imo is brilliant. With young actors like him giving dazzling performances on-screen, I can say with all certainty that the future of my beloved Nollywood is in safe hands. Just so you know, I was first endeared to Imo after watching Nimbe. So, before Breath of Life, I had spotted the star.
I am glad Nigerian filmmakers are consistently using their camera lens to inform viewers of the gross brutality and injustices perpetuated by the NPF. Collision Course, One Lagos Night, and The Black Book are examples of such films that easily come to mind. And now One Too Many. Kayode Kasum tried in this one o.
And our late screen veteran, Rachael Oniga, played the role of a judge. God rest her soul.

The actors in this movie delivered commendable performances, bringing depth and authenticity to their characters, which enhances the overall viewing experience. Stars like: Dakore Akande, Omowunmi Dada, Chimezie Imo, Jide Kosoko, Rachael Oniga, Joshua Richard, Tope Tedela, Paul Utomi... And Directed by Kayode Kasum. I rate this movie a strong 9/10.

I like the blend of how we can see a bad cops and a good cops. One of the thing that's lacking in the country is uphold in the movie and that's where the justice system and rule of law is very key for a functioning government. The movie should be a reference point for all the people in government. It's a 10/10 for me.
I like how the theme of family is rooted in the production from beginning to end.
The casting too is a right one. I like how Chimeze body the character and also Temiloluwa Fosudo played his role in the movie.
This is going to be a reference movie for life. Sublime work of arts.

Felt like it was born out end sars.
Another good delivery from Kayode Kasum.
Chimezie, what a performance.
I didn't expect Dakore in that role. Something she's never done before.
Even though its an emotional story, the writer did well to add some lively scenes that will make viewers loosen up.
Delivery was on point. Would have loved a bit twist to the ending but still a decent ending.
The movie is about an hour forty minutes but I am quite glad that Kayode Kasum or the writer didn't bore viewers with unnecessary and boring scenes.
I get some viewers may have questions about the evidence scene. Trust me, this happens to a lot of people (where you have record with your phone in an uncomfortable place or manner)
Moreover, its a movie and some scripts might just need that to complete the story.
Overall, it's a good attempt to tell us about some of the challenges we currently face in Nigeria.
