My boyfriend is from Banat, specifically Orsova, Romania. He has to interpret to me, but we both LOVE this show. We understand it is all in fun! I wish it was subtitled! I am learning Romanian and we are going there next week so I can meet his mom and dad. I am American but I understand this is satire, not reality! Just enjoy it! I love all the characters!

The best show ever!great comedy.Great actors,we laughed continuously.It reveals a real part of romanian life,with intelligent but not so rich people from the country side.With jokes that only in romanian can be understood.The actors are great.There Are many characters- the mair,the guy who ownes a rural bar, the Italian villain,the drunk,and so on.I hope there will be more and more and more episodes from this show.The actors,the young ones,are so cool!!!and talented!Such as Mihai bobonete and ifrim.New but great names!It is an excellent show,like i have never seen one in a long time.The action takes place in a village with only one police man,not very smart but very funny.Also the secretary of the village mair is very funny.But the best are the barman and the young paysant that comes from Italy back to his natal village

I don't agree that this is a sketch or portrait of the Romanian society as a whole , but rather a wise but exaggerated mockery of the poorest and least educated Romanians which happens to be the most numerous only recently after 4 million people emigrated, but this has not always been the case. So yes, if you want to see all the ugliness you can find it here, if you want the beautiful things that complete a true portrait you will find none in this series, so yes, you can say it's something very specific as maybe not everybody can digest a food made mostly from spice, but I can, and I like it a lot, same as much of the Romanians. Btw, this is the best Romanian sitcom so far, mostly due to the actors that made the characters so credible that you can even recognize people you know, making even the most incredible scenarios seem real -like in a American movie.

funny, realistic, courageous. a series who seems ignore the West comedy recipes for reflect situations and stereotypes from Romanian reality. a village from Oltenia. and its events, personalities, conflicts, peaces, adventures and spirit. a splendid work after many exercises of humor for who the axis was vulgarity. in this case, the base ingredient remains a kind of innocence, a special and almost manner to solve problems and to define the life. nothing complicated. the bad guys are far to be real bad. the malicious characters - only old children. the woman represents in this small community the wise voice who guide man decisions. the strangers - just the strangers. short - a useful Romanian reflection of image about yourself and the other.not only for satirized it. but for define a state of soul.

I just love watching it! It pictures exactly how people, life... are sometimes. The actors are just great and wonderful! I'm glad Las Fierbinti is there and hope they will continue for many many years

The show is quite old now. It has it ups and downs but as a whole I can say it's a really good show compared with other Romanian TV shows. Of course it's not perfect and some of the characters lack the charisma and maybe sometimes it repeats the same ideas and thypologies, but I noticed a lot of people from all social categories are watching it so I believe it should be rated high. For the ones who understand the jokes it can be really relaxing and funny. I gave it a 9 because is I can put an equal sign between Las Fierbinti and any other comedy show from outside Romania.

I'm romanian, so I understand everything. But the laughs and jokes would only place this to a less than 4 as a score. The sole reason why I gave this a 9 is because Adrian Vancica. He portrays Celentano, but has so many scenography tales in the show. From a mindset point of view, he's a genius who requires again an open mindset. And if you're romanian and understand the substratum of what he's saying again and again (not only in the Christmas episode), you'll realise that throughout the seasons, he tries to make us face the cold reality, on all aspects. Similar to Ion Creanga, but far from Arghezi. Amazing.

Best Romanian series of all time . English subtitle is hard to define Romanian language expressions but try it

Amazing series. It totally reflects some Romanian truths. The acting is brialliant, the script is entertaining. If you're not Romanian, you probably won't truly understand those situations, but the show is great!

Romanian rural life at its finest. Nothing to criticize.

I don't understand why so many people wrote positive reviews. They are probably completely uneducated.

For those who want to see a good Romanian comedy series, I recommend La Bloc.

I tried several times to watch this series, but each time I couldn't last more than 1 minute. Ridiculous humor, silly jokes and laughable actors. Dem Radulescu would turn in his grave if he saw such misery.

But the Romanian people are watching, knowing the fact that they are also uneducated and manelistic and functionally illiterate.

So if you want to waste your time, get angry and see a mess of a series, then watch this series, if not better at least finish the 8 classes.

A good series of good actors and a good script. One of the few Romanian series that ironies the Romanian society, the modest things and the politics, without a jingle in some way. The subtle and pleasant irony that I have seen so finely in The Simpsons, obviously keeping the proportions. A nice serial that I recorded in a general way with 9/10, obviously there are better episodes as well as less successful episodes. The first time I heard about this show in 2014 I think until then I did not want to hear from him I thought he was with peasants and nothing more, I did not know what I was missing and on my sister's advice I started to watch him. Now I'm waiting for each new episode with my soul and I never want it to end.

Las Fierbinti is an absolute masterpiece of a show. I have watched 100 episodes in 18 days. It's too addictive. The humor, characters, plot, everything is perfect. I recommend this show to everyone, no matter who you are, it will always make you burst out laughing, and don't worry, you have plenty of episodes, over 700!

I know this show is not for everyone but I personally really like it! The characthers and the world are so iconic and it's much better from other shows like this from a technical point of view. Really excited to see where the show is going!

I only have something good to say about the actors. They do try hard to make something out of a lackluster script. This is why I rate this 1 star and of course the fact I cannot rate it ZERO stars. As for any claims this has anything to do with any kind of reality, past, present of future, I would like to know what anybody who makes such claims is smoking. Must be good stuff.

a portrait of Romania. nice, precise, cool, proposing memorable characters, hilarious situations, smart story and good dialogues. an interesting project who propose authenticity of every day situations, having the role of jester for a public looking for more than soap operas or stupid sitcoms. a series proposing stars and social critic and fake crisis and seductive characters. this details are the key of its huge success. and, maybe, the example of right manner to discover the profound Romania by its citizens. with a form of self irony, bitter and refreshing, mix of sympathy and pity, resignation and forms of selfishness. a Romania portrait. or, only a nice sketch.

I think is time to change little story of characters,as in romanian villages election are full of fun,wonder why they have no more election since first season.Also characters need make a move to marriage wifes etc.Giani Bobita or Dorel,had no relations and they are pretty old now.even so,similar tricks every episode,they just do similar things

Unfortunately, this cheap and low-cost soap opera emphasizes all the bad things about Romania and its citizens. Corruption, poverty, prostitutes, drunkards, laziness, robbery, human stupidity, people living in apparently abandoned houses, all you see looks almost ruined, very bad development of a village that looks like a ghetto or like a primitive tribe. I know nobody is perfect and we see these things all around the world but the ones we see here affect our own country's image and perception. I consider that all the things which I've listed are very exaggerated.

I love most of it. They have nice sparks of intelligence and language gimmicks. But... It's an insult to some people's intelligence when you see Gianina. And I'm wondering here who's banging her. I know how the indrustry works and I've never seen a worse actress in my life. Is it the director or the scenarist? Second place in overacting at a safe distance is Aspirina. Bad choice of casting. Too late to do anything about it now. Train her to stop overacting!

All respect for everybody else in the casting. Celentano, Firicel, Bobita, Dalida, to name a few. Keep doing what you're doing. You're cool!
