Avis à la une
I was quite curious about this animated series after looking at the screencaps online. After seeing the series on Amazon Video, I immediately enjoyed it and wished it were available on DVD or Blu-ray.
This is a "mecha" animated series, most likely influenced by Japanese "mecha" anime. Of course, the story is about three alien beings: the planet's princess, her soldier protector, and their robot companion. They went to Earth to flee their adversary, who had taken over their planet, Galaluna. The enemy, however, had sent giant monsters to find and destroy the three. But our heroes form a giant robot known as "Titan."
I was disappointed that they didn't have a second season. Anyway, as I said, I love this series with its story and stunning animation. And again, I really wish the series was on DVD or Blu-ray.

-Interesting animation and style.
-Characters with flaws that you can still love and see them grow.
-Right when they present a cliche, they BREAK IT.
-More into the drama than the robot aspect, but the robot is still awesome.
-Isn't afraid to get serious at many points.
-Cancelled WAY too soon. I can't give it a 10 because you never get to see what else they were planning.

Intro:
Sym-Bionic Titan is a great series from the genius of Samurai Jack. And even though Samurai Jack, was cancelled, but later got an ending. This show wasn't so lucky. But regardless, Sym-Bionic Titan is a great series: even if it only got one season.
The Story: Centering around a group of aliens, who are forced to blend into a high school, in order to avoid capture by enemies that have captured their home planet. And they protect the Earth from monster attacks and other cosmic threats from their evil enemies, with the use the giant robot they are able combine their powers into. And while I agree, this subgenre is overused and quite tired, this's easily the best to come out of this premise.
With great characters, descent comedic writing, and fun stories: this show is shockingly original. And unlike other on the network it aired on (Cartoon Network).
The Characters: This's the show's strength really lies in the characters. They are all interesting and original.
Let's start with the villains. The main villain of the series, General Modula is the ruthless dictator of the planet our main characters fleed from. And as the dictator, he is ruthless and tyrannical in nature. Like Any from Samurai Jack, if you removed what made him interesting. In my opinion, he's kind of a weak villain.
Another antogonist is General Steel, he's a human general for the U.S Military, and he believes the main characters are a threat to National Security. He's also not much, just kind of an angry general. Who hunts them down, only because he wants their power for himself. Again, he's not bad, just kind of weak.
I've saved the best for last, Solomon. I love him, because he's not entirely, it's mostly mysterious, sometimes he's an ally, sometimes an enemy. Either way, he's always interesting to watch. It's not even known what species he is. He might be a human with good training, or even an alien. He leads an agency of U.S Government, dedicated to protecting Earth from alien threats. And I wish we could've seen more of him in a second season.
Now: let's talk about the heroes. Princess Ilana is the first protagonist, and she's one of my favorite female characters. With many female characters, the writers take away her femanity to make her a stronger character. However, this show doesn't have to do that. She's still a strong character.
Next up, is Octus, he's the most unique in the cast, as he's s robot. And this show could've just made him the expedition machine. But the series gives him human qualities, like a strange kind of emotion. And it's interesting to watch.
Now the last character, Lance. He's was a soldier in the army of his home planet, however, he was always left out, and treated well after the death of his father. Causing him to grow up with serious anger issues. And now, he's stuck with the most important jobs, the job of protecting the princess. And Lance might be the most relatable character in the show, at least for me.
The Animation: Very remanicent of Samurai Jack, the animation of this show is every bit as beautiful as that show. And this is how animation should look, smooth, nice, and well drawn.
Conclusion: What else can I say? It's just a good show. With great character, great animation, and a stunningly well written story. This show should've gotten another season.

I love this series, but I couldn't help but draw parallels from Neon Genesis Evangelion to this. I wouldn't be surprised if the creator was influenced by it.
The show is good, the characters are well written, and this show is kinda like a anime to me in my opinion and I felt bad that the show was cancelled and hopefully, the show gets a continuation in the future but if you like anime or teen dramas or both then this show is for you and this show was a mix between teen dramas and anime and if you watch neon genesis evagelion or gundam or teen dramas then I highly recommend this show to you and your friend to watch gennedy's masterpiece and show return as for maybe for tv-14 or tv-MA but that's a maybe and when this show return in the future. Watch it.
