Well, uhm, mhh

This seemed like a movie the actors enjoyed making more than most of the audience enjoyed watching. The jokes weren't all that funny and the movie doesn't become an actual comedy until about 30min in. Anyhoo, I absolutely loved Matt Berry in this, but I enjoy him in everything he does. He's a lovable a-hole in every single role because he just can't shake that charisma. It's worth it for his performance alone.

Anecdotes
Many of the cast sing songs in this film - Matt Berry, Mary Birdsong and writer/lead actor Bob Hardison - all sing in the film as part of the country singing contest. Birdsong's character Maxine sings an original song that Birdsong herself wrote, called "Last Call Lullabye (Barstool Babysitter)." Both Birdsong and Agee are also in Mary's L.A.-based band "99 Cent Whore".
